hey karena and katrina! i have a question that i hope you guys wouldn't mind answering! lol i'm in the process of training for navy basic (lots of swimming, running, push-ups, and sit-ups) so I do endurance first thing in the morning for an hour, and i usually have a protein pancake afterwards, and then I do strength training later in the afternoon, right before the time i am supposed to have meal #4 (TIU protein shake). Should i be adding simple sugars to this (1/2 banana)??
I did this just being out and about getting my haircut since it was rainy and cold I walked faster but glad to know I didn't miss it - your calendar is too big for me to print so I am going to write it out to have on my wall and will do my best to keep up with it as I am already getting busy with my last semester of my degree and life and I don't want to make excuses so thanks for being inspiring ladies! @vsloveureta i note each activity in a calendar, whatever it is, walking, swimming, aerobics class, yoga or pilates. it is soooo cool to take a look back after a couple of weeks and see how active i've been. :)
i wake up 4.45 and get home at 5pm or 6 pm and i'm a dance student but i want to be be motivated to go running too after school but i'm always so beat already, what should i do?
@looovemac hey no problem with getting carried away with fruits! It's actually the perfect food for our bodies and never makes you fat :) many people have lost over 100 lbs eating 2000+ calories of fruit per day
I've been so lazy with working out.. I used to be so strict about working out and eating healthy in 2010 and I just finished college and worked full time my last semester so I resorted to soda and chips. I am now done with school and ready to focus on working out and eating healthy! I'm at my all time highest weight (135lbs and I'm 5'2), but I can so do this! @gchick121 working out before eating breakfast is the best.but if you eat just a small portion of food for breakfast then just go ahead and eat it then do your work out
2012 goal: I got to watch portions of food, and right times, even though I eat healthy I get carried away with fruits lol... workout is check ;) 4 times a week.. 30 minutes jog, an hour weight training (different parts everyday) if I have time i add 20 minutes stairs.. once a week legs training with no cardio!!

I use to be so committed to working out. Any suggestions to put an end to to this habit?
@genny7172 YES!!! There's many reasons behind the 'booty call' workout... 1. you wake up and do it before your day gets in the way. 2. no one can stop you before ur day begins. 3. fat burning is high in the morning 4. your metabolism and core temperature will be high ALL day! So our suggestion is to go to bed 30 minutes earlier than usual and wake up 30 minutes early and do one of our workouts. if you did this consistently ~ it could be up to a 6 pound weight loss per month! Remember....
@genny7172 that u'll NEVER regret a workout, u'll always feel better after, u should always make time for u, you're one workout away from a good mood and that even just a little bit every day will make a big difference. @ToneItUpcom i've been having a real hard time lately with food and exercise but reading this really helped. You both are such an inspiration! Tonight was the breaking point for me, I have been feeling crappy from over eating and not moving as much, and reading your comment was just the last push I needed. Tomorrow morning I am going to get up earlier and go for a walk up this big hill (i know its not much but i need to start small). Thank you for both being such an inspiration!
@genny7172 - Omg. The exact same thing with me except I'm slacking because it's summer break and I'm working all the time. I used to workout for at least an hour a day, 6 days a week and now I haven't worked out in over a month! >.<
