thankss Tom, i'm a great admirer of Enrico Caruso. In this neapolitan song like in others, Caruso could convey his striking quality to put emotions when he sings and a sense of haunting melody.
In my opinion one of the very best neapolitan songs that Caruso ever recorded. It is an enigma that this song is so little on the repertoire among his contemporaries and later singers too. For example both Giuseppe di Stefano and Franco Corelli ought to have been excellent interpreters of this very emotional song.
Nevertheless here is again a marvellous transfer of a Caruso song reachable for everyone who has the pleasure in the art of singing and the recordings from the past. A lovely photo!
@klokheten One more ''strappacore'' (heartbreaking) song by Enrico Caruso with his usual empathy that made him famous throughout the world and i hope never forgotten.
Love ! Love ! love!

@wurbrand You are very welcome! Yes, he was an "emotional" master.

He is the best tenor of all times. His ability to sing with little or no vibrato, his strength and musicality i a great inspiration for me!
