I don't really like it too much. It's a good prelude to the actual music of the level.

She/he did a good crafty job when remixing this, but it's too soft and unfitting.

It needs to pick up the melody and use more strings and "cellos"(is that what they're called?) and finally add brass horns.

In other words, it needs to sound more epic.

Like the Level 2 "Shipwreck" music. I can imagine if that were to be remixed it should be equivalent to the "No Regrets" theme from Soul Caliber III.

Great! :) You did a great job on this. I absolutely love this song (and the game). Perhaps an airy stereopad or something would supplement the melody. I really missed the pads in the 8-bit music.
