@MissBookAddict She uses Midas as a reference to King Midas from the Greek myth, a man that could turn whatever he touched into gold. I've always interpreted 'Midas' to be an agent or manager. They promise to make you a star, and sell lots of records, but sometimes they hold you too tight, constrict your creativity, and take away the freedom over your art you would have had if you didn't want to be famous.
