@dudehere1981 the Yorkshire dialect stems from old Norse and Middle English. it really has nowt to do with Scotland as the Scots were never really influence by old Norse because the Vikings occupied the sparsely populated north and western parts of Scotland, i believe. i think the Scottish dialect is due to Middle english and gaelic languages. i know what you are saying though.
