The CNC is a tool that is used to accentuate a shapers art and the final performance of the board. Sometimes I still handshape a board and if it rides really well then I will scan it and can make adjustments to the design while alway starting with the original performer shape. Keep in mind that the CNC machine and software only replace the planer and by using such tech, a surfer is assured that the board they purchase will have perfect and identical halves of the board.
