Just lookup MT gesures on Cydia and download the first theme. Then enable it in winterboard and you got this. Works on iOS 4.3.1+. Still has bugs but pretty cool.

@vschnz I wouldn't say no new features... surfing is a bit faster with the 3GS, and home sharing works really well... yeah you CAN use airfoil and remote to do the same thing before 4.3 but it's nowhere near as elegant. Just being able to chill out in the garden with an iphone that has access to 500GB of music and 2TB of film is for me worth the upgrade. As for the gesture thing, it's a nice trick, but I wouldn't go through all this pfaffing about to have a way to swap apps.

These new multitasking gestures are so useless. It's probably something I'd use the first two days until I realize how ridiculous it is.

First of all, I believe you must use 4 fingers to activate the multitasking gestures. Putting 4 fingers on the screen is such a hassle especially since the screen is tiny compared to said fingers. It's probably even more troublesome to perform the gesture that brings you to the home screen.

There really is no need for multitasking. All it ends up doing is draining your battery. The way the iPhone pauses applications is genius. I recently switched from android to the iPhone. Have no regrets at all!

It does the multitasking when it needs to. like the latest Pandora. it plays on the background because the developer of Pandora has rewritten the application to run on the background.

you must have not been lucky enough to download applications not yet rewritten to run on iOS multitasking feature.
