  • It's Thomas Jefferson who said that at 7:32.

  • "We hold these truths to be self-evident..." was NOT Lincoln's quote. It was part of the Declaration of Independence.

  • written by Jefferson of course

  • Yes but didn't he quote the Declaration of Independence during a speech once?

  • so thats what happened to

    George Carlin!!!

he flew away on a rocket

good thing too i thought he was dead i saw the whole mark twain award thing and everyone thinks hes dead

    HES NOT DEAD

  • it is

  • That train is Union Pacific's famous 844.

  • Not only that, but he's voiced by Jonathan Freeman, who did the voice of Jafar in Disney's Aladdin!

  • I should say I really miss this show, and this particular episode shall forever be my favorite...though I don't remember seeing it for some reason. LOL

  • what song are the band singing?

  • Patriotic Medley

  • @joedav63 Yankee Doodle sung by Didi, Dixie Land sung by Tex and Rex, Yankee Doodle Boy sung by Tito, and America the Beautiful sung by Grace and the others.

  • this episode would've been killer if they had put clips of the American Freedom train in it. Still good though

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Schemer was funny in this

  • Its a really happy Independence Day now! I miss watching Shining Time Station on tv like I did growing up. Now my son, who is a Thomas fanatic, can finally watch it with me.

  • The scene I like is Schemee turns into a ghost when he's invisible except for his helmet, his goggles, his gloves and his belt.

  • Ah those classic end credits of Shining Time Station. That's when PBS wasn't so babyish as it is now.

  • yeah i miss the old pbs

  • He vacumed up his magic dust.

  • I think this is the closest Schemer ever came to seeing Mr. Conductor... why Mr. C didn't just disappear, I don't know...

  • he couldn't because the magic dust was all vacuumed up

  • lol, its a ghost

  • ha, look at that! it's my childhood coming right back to me! i had only vaguley remembered some of the things from this show... the tiny conductor, the puppets in the band. i love that schemer guy, he's really funny. how could i have forgot about him?

  • "IT'S A GHOST!!! IT'S A GHOST!!!" HILARIOUS!!!!!!
