I feel ashamed for practicing Kyokushin in the past. Killing innocent beings has nothing to do with honor and self-control. You just need to be nothing and have no brain to kill bulls and show yourself proud of this. Those bulls didn't want to be there and get killed. It's all a big lie and illusion of power.
@sierra2425 Even if those bulls were to be slaughtered for food anyway? Not that we approve of fighting animals for bragging rights. The original story was that he subdued a dangerous wild bull loose in a town. Later Grandmaster Oyama repeated the feat with caged bulls for TV and films. There is footage of a Kyokushin fighter fighting a confused, domesticated bear in the 1970's. Remember society considered (and still does) animals as mere property to be freely used at our whims.
OSU. R.I.P SOSAI. your spirit will live on as long as people train kyokushin . in the name kyokushin you are immortal in the heart of any practitioner you live for ever
As the description states, this is from a visit to the states in 1992. The interview was broadcast on the Martial Art World TV show on the Madison Square Garden Network that year.
