  • hello. please tell me if you can use nvidia 3d vision when playing games on mac or windows ,using evga gtx 285 mac edition . i want to buy a mac pro and put this card on it , but i don't know if i can use 3d vision .

  • @lambomcd yep.u just need a 3d card which like 285 and a 3d monitor and the nvidia 3d kit or u can get their 3dplay to hook up to a 3dtv.

  • if you want compare mac pro to something compare it to dell workstation, a mac pro is not a pc!

and also osx is not meant for gaming, you can install windows for that, but aniway a mac pro, is mainly produced for professional editing(movies, music), if you want games buy a pc or a console...

  • can the gtx 285 for mac go 3 way sli???

  • @monkeyfighter500 No, it has a sli connector, but its just for show... Or cause they didnt feel like making a new pcb without one.

  • I hate videos which ask for 5 stars and suscribe.

  • this isnt just for gaming but they did focus on it though. if you didnt want to pay around 1200 for the quadro card you would settle for this

  • just 1GB, PC version has 2 GB and mac version is more expensive than PC.

  • Every one knows that home user PC gamers Like cheap shit to play there games like guys that can't get laid lol..

Got new for you Cheap arse PC cunts, Mac users get laid hehehe.

  • @pkerry12 Dam right + nice video im subbed

  • @pkerry12 no, my friend mac users dont even have balls to deal with a little viruses or put together a simple computer, so therefore you cant fuck either....

  • @mycomputergl0wsblu and windows developers don't have the brains to make a virus that is devastating for a Mac. So in the for all ADC developers, we have a digital fortress, and you windows developers don't have jack shit. Building computers are for the plebs of the industry and the n00bs, that couldn't make it as a sys admin, or aren't smart enough to be developers. Amateur's like you, are just a living joke, and there is nothing you can say to defend that fact, you comment says it all.

  • @pkerry12 i dont give a fuck about other windows developers, i am a consumer nothing more, and as for building a pc, well i guess you would rather spend 5000$ to match the specs of a 1500$ pc machine, but im pretty sure you have money to do so, so go ahead, but let me tell you im no amateur, also one last thing if a windows developer created a virus for the mac platform, well that would cause chaos in the industry, and your too fucking lazy to even install a virus program and scan your computer

  • @mycomputergl0wsblu see thats how much of an amateur you really are, since you fall into the trap that all home users fall into "specs".

if your looking at Server grade components vs home user components. the difference is uncanny. A Mac Pro like mine is 2x Quad core Xeons that 8 physical cores and (16 virtual cores) And supports 64gb of ECC DDR 3 server grade ram. So you talking specs and comparing a $5000 computer to a $1500 computer just makes me laugh because it show just how little you know

  • @pkerry12 @pkerry12 you are correct, but lets look at it like this a xeon is essentially an i7 optimized for server computing, but it has the same cache, and clock speed now you also mentioned that you could have 2 xeons at the same time, well we have skulltrail which is still cheaper, and if you cant find that then you could look for a workstation board such as the upcoming EVGA dual 1366 board with 4 way SLI which is still CHEAPER, and it will take 2 i7 980X which are 6 core..

  • @mycomputergl0wsblu and I don't think you seem to understand what a server grade component is vs home user components. Xeon's are excellent for servers, especially with its multi-socket and multi-core configurations and 64 bit environments allowing alot of ram as I said up to 64gb or even more than that. Adding to this, is it’s ability for power management, which adapts to different server workloads. This is considered to be it’s major difference, when compared to Intel i7

  • @pkerry12 yes i do i even said that the xeon was optimized for server computing, but the SR-2 board from evga will take 2 xeons search it up on youtube your self dont take my word for it, on top of the 2 lga 1336 sockets, you have 4 way SLI which the mac pro dosen't even have due to the limitations in MAC OSX which proves my point, if i could have those same 8 cores and 4 way SLI with lets say the GTX 480 or something, then that pc would blow your mac pro out of the water...

  • @mycomputergl0wsblu Think of a workstation as a PC on steroids. It normally will have extra RAM and hard drives as compared to a pc for email and word processing. Maybe best described as something less than a server but much more than a PC. A workstation example would be a machine configure for heavy graphics or video where temp files and scratch disks are required for optimal performance.

  • @pkerry12 yes sir, but you proved my point, GRAPHICS well 4 SLI is pretty good if you ask me, ram? well the SR-2 will take 48GB Ram, but an asus will take 144GB ram no joke, also the new SR-2 will alow 6 core intel xeons for a total of 12 cores 12 cores + 4 SLI = Maximium Peformance

  • Why in the do PC users need to comment on using a Mac for gaming go FK off and shut it!

  • gaming with a mac lmao

    what a joke

  • @DediXD steam will be on mac in under 2 weeks get the pc fanboys ready to get fucked on cs:s

  • nice hat!!

  • Who the fuck buys a gaming mac. Gay build your own gaming pc.

  • you guys should see jacob's gaming rig x.x

  • cool

  • 450 dollars for a gtx 285 is a fuckin steal, 4870x2 for mac is better

  • Good card, but too bad it's expensive as hell here in Sweden.

  • I am picking up a Mac pro soon with in the next month or so, hopefully. I am planning to purchase this graphics card!

  • good luck!!!

  • can u run sli in mac os x?

  • nope

  • SHIT...

what with bootcamp then, i mean with vista or 7 on a mac machine, can u run sli?

  • sadly no. the mac pro's logic board does not support SLI
