  • i am called harvey but not danger!

  • "And you cry, then you lie your frail body down like a penny on a railroad track..." Something about those lines just send chills up my spine.

  • sry but what debree means? .-.

  • @RamblaSima debris = dust, rocks, etc.

  • @interpolluter29 thx a lot!! ^^ <3

  • @RamblaSima Please tell me English is not your first language.

  • @flutinkat e.e actually it isn't; i look for the lyrics on internet and appears as "debree" instead "debris", that's why my confusion

  • stereo is used to good effect here. all the vocals coming out of the left side only. unique and it sounds good

  • i read the band description from winamp, it said that H.D. has a cult following, well shit, better go tell my mom i'm part of a cult now

  • i love the whole song, but the part that gets to me is the shooting star part, i love that part and can't get it out of my head

  • @xymox007 It's about being a groupie actually. The little round mirrors are cd's.

    Clearly, you are wrong.

  • @bobby123greenhalgh Loving yourself is easily done, it's just a matter of time before you can truly become comfortable and accept yourself for who you are no matter what. Hence all the little round mirror references, he's clearly singing about the hope that there's somebody out there that will make you feel as good as you do by yourself... which is a near-impossible feat. The holes referring to the generic love depletion most obtain after a failed/broken relationship. Not CDs.

  • @xymox007 Hey what do I know, it's not like it's been confirmed as the actual meaning or anything. I could even go on a big tangent much like, pointing out the OBVIOUS references that this is a groupie song.

But, I really don't care about your ignorance, look it up on google, or don't. I don't care either way.

  • @bobby123greenhalgh and here I thought all Canadians were calm, cool and collective. There goes that assumption.

  • @xymox007 Ah yes, now over generalize. You're making yourself look reaaaalllly good :)

  • @bobby123greenhalgh I'm sorry there's a hole in the middle you can't seem to fill.

  • @xymox007 No worries, I'll give your mother a call, it seems she has a knack for such things.

  • @xymox007 It can be about whatever you wish, but Sean confirmed it's about those "who love music too much". The little round mirrors are the CDs, and the shooting star which he speaks of in the third verse are, I believe, supposed to be denouncing the idea that some musician is a Godlike figure or some kind of idol, when they are merely regular people like you and I.

  • @xymox007 You are in there about the relationship part, though. There's just more to the story than you believe.

  • every song from this band is amazing!!!!!!!

  • 2 people have big square mirrors

  • This song is amazing.

  • Its hard to listen to Harvey Danger without crying like a little girl because they are so talented but never did much.

  • these nerds are great-beautiful melody

  • what happened to this band jessh

  • @102611ful they played a farewell show in Seattle sometime at the end of 2009. 15 years together, and I never get to see them. It makes me quite sad.

  • Wow I usually don't like slowish songs but this ones really really good...It sounds very...different, in a good way.

  • 154 cool people and 1 Justin Bieber fan.

  • this song just blew me away!

  • This is just beautiful, I use to listen this song when I'm very sad for some reason... this song doesn't make me feel any better, just makes me think.

  • If the music business was run legitimately, this song would have been at least nominated for a Grammy.

  • I remember when I got my copy of Little By Little once it first came out, I had never heard LRM before and I was speechless when I heard it, I couldn't believe how great it was, one of the most amazing things I ever heard! I remember bringing the CD player into my Mom's room to share it with her almost immediately. It still has that effect on me

  • Absolutely amazing .

  • Californication :D

  • And When they dream they all

    Dream of somebody like you

Somebody who takes what they make

Twice as seriously as they could ever hope to do

    And when you dream

    You dream of a day...

  • brilliant...The song 'spoke' to me when I first heard it in'' Californication'' and reminds me about my own misgivings...

  • lol. The same chord progession from paradise city.

    great song.

  • Awesome song. Is he talking about a the people who surround their whole entire life around music and bands and they have all their CD's everywhere (Little round mirrors) and after years goes buy, they realize that their life sucks and all these little round mirrors (CD's) have a whole in the middle, and thus making them feel even more lost since they wasted most of their life worshiping their favorite bands, only to find out that the band think that they are suckers? Right?

  • @sw33taznwife86 Don't know about the last part, but yeah, Sean Nelson once said "this is about somebody who loves music too much".

  • Brillant song

  • Just Brillant

  • californication's song !

  • Es erinnert. Es schmerzt. Und doch trägt dieses Lied dazu bei, jemanden im Herzen zu behalten und dabei an all die schönen Momente zu denken.

  • Louves It all! Harvey Danger and any other band that is/was/started on the KILL ROCKSTARS label!

  • I listened to this song and this band so much last year, they helped me get through an INCREDIBLY stressful year, I love Harvey Danger, they are AMAZING! <3

  • What sculpture is that?

  • Looks like a replica or a photoshopped image of one of Michaelangelo's works.

  • this song is beautiful

  • WOW. Just WOW> I only knew H.D. from 'flagpole' and 'rodeo'. I saw this in the sidebar, gave it a touch. Wonderful! I may have to go pick up a CD now.

  • check out "save it for later"

  • Heard this for the first time this morning on my way to work. What a fantastic song, love the chorus.

  • First heard them back in 2006 with this album through pure chance. They're still fucking solid :D

  • Well, not anymore since they broke up they're not.

  • lol@the truth getting thumbs down

  • Well they did!!!

I'm sorry too, they were really good.

    Apparently too painful to say.

    sorry.....

  • This song gets better every time I hear it. The whole album does infact. Harvey Danger really hit the nail on the head with it.

  • One of those rare songs that I have not grown tired of in the three years since it came out. As poignant on the 100th listening as it was on the first one.

  • I'm lovin it ! :)

  • brilliant song.

harvey danger's lyrics never fail to blow me away.

  • @leexxfal30 almost.

  • @leexxfal30 agreed. Very under-appreciated band. Bummer it's over for them.

  • omg, oDemiurge, thanks to you, i have discovered so many bands i didn't know about and they're so gooooood :X

  • Sad But Brilliant

  • i agree
