  • See my vids from the Amsterdam based Church of st. Agnes, served by the priestly fraternity of St. Peter. A couple of full masses, esp. the Christmass eve mass is beatifull

  • I really love this Credo III.. I have to be honest, I was baptised as a catholic but I am not a catholic any more .. however this was one of the most beautiful gregorian songs I ever heared, I still like it very much. This version is acoustically not the best one but this is how I heared it in our local church, so I really love this video!

  • You can say that again!

  • Credo in French at Murbach abbey

  • BEAUTIFUL.!!!

    Thanks.

  • An orthodoxe christian might say the same thing!

What's important is having one God.

  • Assumption Grotto, on Gratiot in Detroit also offers the Tridentine Mass regularly. Does anyone know where I can get an Latin-English translation so I can learn to sing this? Nice video.....

  • I prefer latin mass , I hate mass in french

  • latin was never gone... the pope says it's ok if we do tridentine mass...

  • Euh...shouldn't this be sung in alternance? (Not everybody all the time).

    Awful accompaniment.

  • what does sung in alternance mean? The Credo is a prayer that everyone recites in full.

The accompaniment has some discords, by design. Not my favorite sound, but a respectable implementation of minor chords.

  • You don't need to articulate the words in order to pray.

The credo is a statement of the articles of faith rather than a prayer.

Psalms and Hymns (as well as the credo are often sung by an alternance of chanter/assembly, priest/choir, choir/assembly, dean's side/Precentor's side.

Of course during the first couple of centuries of Christianity, mass was celebrated without a Credo.

  • A secular choir to play non-secular music. How convenient.

  • Non-secular music???

  • Latin must return to our churches as a matter of urgency.

  • Hadn't you noticed?

    It was never forbidden...

  • VIVA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i am glad to see that many can still pronounce there Latin so clearly and beautifully still despite all the troubles of the world it is wonderful to see people still devout to the church.

  • Awesome! The Holy sacrifice of The Mass is supreme. It is Solemn and fulfilling.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Welldone and God bless †

  • Yes, and it is amazing to see that in the New World it is alive and well, whilst it is now hidden in the Old World of Europe! I had no idea Michigan was such a davout Catholic city. Also the Latin is very well pronounced.

  • vaio720 is generally correct about the Filioque clause. It was fought by the Pope until the eleventh century and not inserted into the Creed in Rome until then, although it was in use in Spain, where it originated in 587, and through Charlemange's former realm. After the Schism of 1054 the Filioque clause became a point of major disagreement between East and West in all subsequent conversations regarding a possible healing of the schism. Vaio has found the Church founded by Christ without change

  • The reason it is without change is because it is cut of from the succesor of st Peter.

  • I'm envious to see that the Catholic Liturgy is followed to much better here in Michigan then it is here in many parts of Europe ...

  • W il Papa e la santa chiesa!!

  • i love to see that all over the world christian use this chant in the same way, and can be recognised anywhere

  • Minor corrections from France Kostumeman :

    OMNIPOTENTEM ... PASSUS

    (not omnipotentum neither passes).

  • Confiteor unum baptisma

    in remissionem peccatorum.

    Et expecto resurrectionem mortuorum.

    Et vitam venturi saeculi.

    Amen.

  • Vive Dieu!

  • Amen!

  • wunderwunderschön!!!!!

  • Credo III always makes me very happy. Viva La Missa!!!

  • Ad maiorem Dei gloriam. Good to embrace the universal church in affirmation of belief.

  • This is a beautiful church... almost as pretty as mine! :-)

  • so beautiful

  • Credo in Unem Deo!

  • Credo in unum deeeum :D

  • Outstanding, this is the way we should hear Mass now

  • It's very pretty. Thanks for posting
