@mintthreen To be fair to McCullum, you're not going to signal that it came off you're gloves to the umpire are you? You might as well walk off in that case! McCullum was well within his rights to stay at the crease. You get some decisions to go your way, and sometimes it doesn't. It all balances out. However, this case highlights the need for UDRS to be universal across all Test matches. Clearly out, but McCullum hasn't done anything wrong.

Not walking is not cheating, it's the umpires responsibility to deem a batsmen out, not the batsmen. The batsmen is expected to walk when given out even if he's not, so he deserves to stand his ground if he's given not out and was actually out.

Back before neutral umpires it was almost impossible for a visiting team to get a LBW against Pakistan at home. New Zealand experienced that more than once....so maybe the Pakis here should shut up.

The Laws of Cricket state the Batsman has the right to be given out. No one is cheating the umpire makes and error and the batsman is 'playing the game' it is unfortunate but not cheating? Why is it when ever and umpire makes a mistake someone is cheating?

Batsmen are NOT obliged to walk and never have been. You are out if in the opinion of the umpire, you are out.
Can't believe you are protecting the team (Pakistan) that has a long history of systematic cheating inlcuding ball tampering, match fixing, bribery and umpires deliberately cheating.

The ball only just clipped Brendon Mccullum's glove, it's very unluckly he's going to know anything about that! The type of noise when the ball hits the glove or pad is very similar so the umpire isn't going to have a clue! This is not poor umpiring! This is not cheating! I'm English by the way before anyone brings up my nationality!

@tannedstamina I understand everything that it is a part of the game and what not and am not disputing the fact that Pakistani players have a bad history. Just because one or two players tarnish your record doesn't mean that the whole team is involved. I should also mention Younis Khan here because he always walks whenever he hits the ball, get your facts straight and then start posting comments.

@tannedstamina Ur comment is biased. I think there has been cheaters in every team. Ricky ponting in WC 2011 was clearly caught behind by Kamran Akmal but he waited the decision of 3rd umpire. He was out. Michael Atherton of England applied vaseline to the ball to swing it. Tendulkar and Dravid was caught with ball Tampering. Hense Cronje and Gibbs were caught match fixing so was Azharudin of India. Underarm incident of Aus. Yeah some Pakistani players are involved in cheating i do agree sir.

The Laws of Cricket state the Batsman has the right to be given out. No one is cheating the umpire makes and error and the batsman is 'playing the game' it is unfortunate but not cheating? Why is it when ever and umpire makes a mistake someone is cheating?

Pro cricketers are told to leave it to the umpire, fact. they get bad deiceions against them so it evens its self out, I would be interested to know whethever pakistan asked for no DRS if so they only have themselves to blame, the recent indian tour of England was similar not ALL the technology thats available was used, as a request by the tourist

Quite frankly I have no idea how that man won that award he is no good sport; Sangakarra, Brett Lee, two players who come to mind worthy of such an award - But Dhoni is just a winger

You will never see a player walk off the pitch before they are given out. Almost every match you will see a player edge a delivery and then stand there rubbing their shoulder, or hip, to try and make the umpire believe they didn't hit it.
If you got rid of your damn bias you would accept that every single player does the same thing that McCullum did.
