  • HR875 was just the beginning.

On June 10-2010 Obama signed Exective Order 13544. This must be the full commitment to the Codex Alimentarius. You are now official criminals as soon as you grow you're own pestide-free tomato in you're back-yard. AI'm from Europe and I know this will happen to us too eventualy

  • A year late and a dollar short;

But I would believe it is generally the mega-farms & agri-conglomerates that sell tainted food.

Not small farms. Small farms tend to use less (if any) pesticides and provide cleaner, stress-free living conditions for farm animals.

We're now contending with a similar bill, S510.

  • ....My ScareCrow ... Kicks Ass ... !!!!

  • You're in a good position my friend.

  • hey folks did we write the british a letter when they overtaxed and pushed us around? Time for a revolution dont you think?

  • Hear, hear!

  • @lnngrffn1 watch the documentary called food inc. and then pass it around. very insightful.

  • we all can comment till the internet "expires" but the question is what the hell are we all gonna do about this?!

  • Contact the Agriculture Committee in the House and your own Rep.'s to express opposition to this.

  • The Government need's to worry more, about the Pesticides on Crop's..Honey Bee's are dying Off!!..Who ?In the Hell, and Why? Are they sprayin Crap in the skie's(Chemtrails)...

  • Yes you are correct.

  • Also review HR 814 and HR 759. These are just as nasty as 875.

  • Thanks I'll check them out.

  • Great deal of confusion concerning this bill. I grew up on a farm and know the difference between what is availble from that lifestyle as opposed to what is available from your local "gross-ery." The difference cant be conprehended by most. I remember how I felt after moving into town post-marriage. The chlorine in the water, the low quality lifestyle, the poor quality of food. A bill like this can not be trusted to do ANY good for ANY person. They want ALL americans fat, lazy and criminal.

  • The last sentence of your comment says it all I think. Thanks for watching.

  • I agree with you 33 harts... 100%

  • tenebroust, don't you know? The goal is to outlaw as much natural human behavior as possible so that they are certain that EVERYONE is a criminal. This way they can take you anytime for anything and blame it on anything else. And they make a "law" about it because are so stupid that they are completely convinced that if it's the "law" then it had to right and won't resist. It's all one big fucking joke that the stupid force us to play. I am a sovereign universal being. Fuck your laws!

  • you say your for stopping the semonila ? well then your for stoping mexican gron produce becouse they fertilize with human waste ...yum yum yes its true they also deficate on our food in the feilds , so you can eat yur mexican grow crap or eat local grown food you trust .

  • You should only eat food you trust of course.

  • What in the hell does salmonella, and other outbreaks have to do with organic farming? This isn't about protecting us, but controlling us.

  • You are 100% correct. Fortunately this bill is in committee where it is expected to die.

  • It doesn't have anything to do with organics, but they are trying to spin it that way. These weird bacteria strains that have found their way into produce has to be from gene modification. They are modifying DNA by using bacteria and viruses to splice cells together. E-coli and salomella are some of the bacteria I'm sure they use for this.

  • I am sure they are, but they sure as hell are not telling us that! Did you hear about a little town in Washington state that had rain with slime in it, and when it was tested it had bacteria and human white blood cells in it. Made lots of people sick. The Airforce made a statement that they had been conducting military "exercises" in the pacific ocean, and that perhaps some of the ordinance deployed blew up jellyfish, and they ended up in the rain. Can you believe that! Unreal.

  • Fortean Times has similar stories such as this. Very weird.

  • Yes.

  • okay, this is an honest take on 875, but if you call rosa de lauro in washington d.c. (free on google), they have TABLED the bill...it is not being considered anymore.

  • According to THOMAS it is being farmed out to various committees. This from the website: H.R.875

Latest Major Action: 2/4/2009 Referred to House committee. Status: Referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on Agriculture, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.

  • OT - Tene, you quote H.P. Lovecraft occasionally...have you heard any of the music from the band of the same title:

    H P Lo vecra ft - Whit e Ship (1968)

    watch?v=ue35Jxdpxbo

( how often do you recall thinking throughout your life - "geezis, I feel like I've been dropped on a foreign planet" were all AiL-ings, hehehe)

  • I love Lovecraft and all Cthulhu Mythos fiction. Yes, my philosophy is remarkably influenced by Lovecraft. I'm listening to the link right now, thanks.

  • "Swat Team conducts food raid in rural Ohio"

    "...The children were quite traumatized.

These farm raids are very common now.

Every farmer needs to fully equipped for the possibility of it happening to them. The Farmer To Consumer Legal Defense Fund was created just for this purpose. The USDA just released their plans to put a law into action that will put all small farmers out of business. Animals for the sale of meat or milk will only be allowed in commercial farms, even the organic ones.

  • and then there's Monsanto's terminator technology the most "evil" shit ever, Im making fliers, people need to know, most don't..they never heard of Monsanto, GMO, etc..

  • Yes absolutely. I think I commented on this on another video, maybe yours?

  • hey Ted, I read the FDA's definition of "food establishment" on their site, it seems different than the one in this bill, then the def. of "food production facility" it's so broad and there is no exemption for backyard gardeners or homestead farmers be it produce or animals.. still scratching my head with no real answers.

  • anyway, according to state and federal regulations "food establishment" EXCLUDES a produce stand as long as veggies and fruits are whole, and private kitchens, bed and breakfast, but no where i can find an answer for the backyard farmer.I just imagine our board of health making changes to have us under constant scrutiny discouraging anyone from living and eating as they wish if they continue to pass such bills

  • The broad language is THE concern and there are no exemptions. The very fact that they CAN use it in a way which would infringe upon backyard gardens and possibly farmer's market's as well.

  • This bill doesn't seem to differ significantly from current laws. It looks like feel good legislation.

Having said that, I believe that the current laws are already to stringent when it comes to small producers.

  • No. But imagine how much worse it will be for small growers and farmers markets if this bill passes? The costs of compliance will force many out of business.

  • Have you read these bills yet?

Of course any law can be abused. This one will require that businesses fill out still another form.

If they are in compliance with current laws, then I don't see where these bills will cause them undo harm.

It does create one more Federal Bureaucracy. One more opportunity for revolving doors and graft.

  • I've read the bills. You're right about more bureaucrasy and more graft. On the surface what you say makes sense. The reality is that this law, due to it's broad wording can affect a single farmer or family farm that grows food for their own use. That would discourage farming. As for small farms and farmer's markets it is not simply being in compliance and another form. There is a track back requirement also.

  • Actually, I disagree. People should be able to sell veggies and fruit at farmer's markets and flea markets without having to worry about the government fining them a thousand dollars for not checking with them first. I mean, if you have a garden and you know your neighbor needs cheap veggies and you offer to sell your own produce in a small basket for a buck -- it's wrong for the government to suddenly knock on your door and demand you pay a fee. That's just wrong.

  • Who are you disagreeing with? I think everyone who has commented is opposed to this just like me. Of course it's wrong. This is where this type of legislation is headed.

  • The only thing the government

will use it for, is to screw us

to death. We need to over turn the

    gov-before the continue to do

    anything'

  • Rosa DeLauro, the sponsor of this bill is married to Stanley Greenberg, who's client is Monsanto. She also receives a lot of money from agribusiness (her biggest supporter financially), AND she's pals with Rahm Emanuel, giving her a direct line to the White House. It has 39 co-sponsors.

This has a high likelihood of passing. Call your congressperson, your Senators. Inform your local co-ops, Whole Foods and small farmers. We can't let this one get through!

  • Thanks for that info.

  • This fucking thing is inviting trouble for anyone that doesn't want to suck the bioengineering teet! I say fuck that. These GMO motherfuckers don't want any competition. Making it illegal to sell good, organic, etc. food to people that don't want mass lab created garbage? That, to me, is fucking criminal.

  • It's a cowardly way of giving big agribusiness a big boost. They pass this legislation, and it, in effect, will shut down farmer's markets and the like due to the costs of compliance and many others will choose not to grow for fear of scrutiny at some point. It could, indeed, be a ploy to get us all to go GMO by way of funneling everything through the big boys.

  • Almost all of my shopping is done at my local grocery co-op that showcases many of their produce, dairy, meat products, etc, from local farms and areas that can be trucked here within a couple hours time keeping things fresh. There is also a huge famers market which I have yet to really take advantage of.

Well, let's hope this atrocious legislation can be held at bay until after the walls come crumbling. Otherwise we will be looking at very few options in the way of providing for ourselves.

  • Last I checked, y'all were part of my human family, so I'll just be feeding my FAMILY with my veggies & fruits.

Most of y'all are my cousins, twice times ten removed.

  • more regulation, guns, drugs, food, water, clothes, education, shades of the roman empire, all hail Caesar..

  • And where do you think we are headed but to a great fall just like Rome.

  • A few years ago, there wasn't enough interest in our small rural town to change the ordinance to allow chickens and rabbits. (altho i know people who kept them anyway). Now it looks like our city council will change the ordinance to allow chickens and rabbits in town! That's what a 14.7% (govt figure) county unemployment rate will motivate people to do! People are instinctively turning to gardening and self-sufficiency. Monsanto & federal bills aren't going to stop this movement.

  • Yes LLoydmer, I'm building a chicken coop and a pen for some meat pigeons and quail. And then I'm building a shade structure over my garden to camouflage it and all the animals therein.

This is the biggest load of bull if ever there was one Ted, good to stay on top of it.

  • I hope you're right, and I encourage people to flout the law if it passes.

  • 0n3m4n4rm33

Found a guy to sell me bees for 80.00 a hive. Not doing this so much for the honey but to keep bees going. My dad did bees when I was a kid. I never got stung either. They 'like me.'

  • Good idea.

  • good vid; they've been ramping up their seizure of private farms as you may know...

  • Don't they have something better to do then control our lives LOL

  • Let it be known from now on that the initials "H.R" stand for Huge RAPE

  • Ha, ha!

  • I agree with Jakluk4. The spinach and tomato thing last year and now irradiating some vegetables. I live in the country. Wonder how this is going to affect my local 'farmers market' that everyone in my town really loves? Are they going to shut them all down? Can't put an ad in the paper to sell your fruit or vegetables anymore? What will these people do with their crops? Gheez, don't our legislators have more important things to do? Hmm, guess not!!!!

  • what monsanto did to the bees will effect the farmers even more adversely...

  • There is something going on that is for sure. Under the new law, if passed, that farmer's market would be allowed to sell the food BUT the cost of compliance could act as a deterrant. So it, in effect, is a way to shut them down without saying it outright.

  • Jeesh. More bad news. CSA is doomed! (Community Supported Agriculture). Boycott Monsanto.

I'm not for violence, but when the Fabians decide to tell farmers what to do, and ban lemonade stands, it's time to burn their fields.

"Cursed and backwards Nation where you must even buy your water!" Globalization is the Grand Babylon.

  • Globalization is a beast that can never be sated, and a train that apparently cannot be stopped.

  • I'm all for TRUE PEACE...FALSE PEACE by threat of violence must die. How do we do it?

  • True peace must be enforced and only through action will it be attained. I do NOT advocate violence willy nilly. One needs to have a workable solution. One must also accept human nature. Therefore one must be willing to fight those who would impose a false peace on us, and only with numbers can it be done.

  • :::tongue in cheek::: "well Muthah, looks like we won't be givin' out samples of your homemade crab apple jelly this year for Christmas if this law passes.." "Oh Fred, don't cha remembah they outlawed Christmas right bafore they said no more turkeys raised for the meat, but feather farmers are ok.." where will it STOP????

  • We are on the cusp of huge changes my friend. You mark my words.

  • Thanks Ted for taking the time to research and make a video on this topic.

More people need to be aware of this legislation.

  • Thank you, but I stand on others who came before me, and am just following up.

  • Mornin Ted ;) Awesome vlog, as always. Do you find it....suspicious, that we have all these "outbreaks" of food contamination, then this bill pops up to "protect us"? Just wondering if its just me. Here in Michigan, stopping off on the side of the road at a farm to but produce and honey is the norm. As I understand it under this new legistlation, that will no longer be allowed. What about kids and lemonade stands? how deep into it will they get? i think we both know the answer! haha *mwuah*

  • oh, and 100000000 stars and fav'd :)

  • Thanks, gorgeous!

  • Yes, my thoughts exactly on the suspicious nature of the outbreaks of food problems. We do indeed know the truth.

  • Nice 5/5

  • Thanks. It's definitely too broad in scope and too general in language.

  • Thank you.
