these are American LeMans (Prototype 1 and 2's, and GT 1 and 2 class racers). the RS spyder is one of thee best sounding racecars next to the Acura ARX-01's and DBR9's...speaking for the N/A engines.

Glad that you like the video. These are the cars that race in the American LeMans Series (ALMS) that I personally think is the most intersting race car series in the world today. You should do a google search for the ALMS series to read about the diversity and international flavor of this form of racing. The 12 Hours of Sebring is coming up in a couple of months (March 21st), you should try to make it and check it out first hand. I guarantee that you will love it.

Very good points that Matt. I have heard a lot of the top engineering staff in Formula 1 are attracted to sports car racing because it offers such a great challenge as well as freedom when it comes to the design of cars. I personally think it is one of the sole remaining unmolested forms of motor racing on the planet myself, but then again I've been at Sebring since 2001, and gone to events at Houston, Mosport, Texas, Elkhart Lake, Road Atlanta, and many IMSA Exxon WSC events before that!
