  • its a korg kaoss pad kp2. i think theyre up to the kp3 now but it still does the same thing.

  • due how much for the gear...im thinkin i may start djing but im not giving upguitar

  • ya i wouldnt give up guitar. my set was like 900 bucks used

  • wow dude, amazing job. love slipknot and id never seen a DJ cover before, this is the shit. keep it up!

  • that was (sic), as in good, you totaly scatch dude lol ;)

  • thanks man

  • how do you get it to go really high pitch like what settings r u on what pitch? and when do you wham?

  • the super high pitch between scratches is the whammy pedal set on 2 octaves up

  • is using a turntable hard cuz u make it look easy ive always wanted to kno is it hard?

  • its kinda hard to learn but once u get the hang of it most other parts come kind of naturaly

  • i think you should make your own song... like take an instrumental song from a band... like lamb of god's "ashes of the wake" and just add sum turntables to that

  • why your covers are with live songs??

  • its because with the live songs its harder to hear sid. this makes it easier for me and the viewers so that my scratching isnt mistaken for sid's.

  • fucking sweet

  • when r we gonna get more dj covers?

  • when i get some time lol

  • can u talk me through wot ur doing plz.wot track r u usin n ur left hand

  • in my left hand im using the full metal scratch-it vinyl. the faster i move my left hand the higher pitch the sound is. my right hand uses the fader to cut out the sound when i move it to the right.

  • Cheers man such a legend

  • haha thanks man

  • yea i use 2 octaves up after the 4 bars of scratching and at the very end too

  • im from mn and im not gonna sell them

  • i have a newark table a mixer and an amp but have no idea how to do this stuff

  • i'd suggest some online dj tutorials

  • where u from?? ill buy them off you

  • dude you rock man A-W-E some \m/

  • thanks

  • how much did all this cost :O I would realy like to do this. its just so cool :D

  • it cost about $900 for the set with mostly used stuff.

  • i want to start out on the decks, bt dont have a clue how much they would be? if any1 could reply, it would be much appreciated :)

  • for 2 turntables, a mixer, headphones, speakers, and cables: about $700-800.

of course if u just wanted to scratch u could get away with one turntable, a mixer, headphones, and rca cable and spend about $400-$450.

  • how long did it take you to master these songs?

  • a few months or so i'd say

  • i dont play turntables but just by watching that shit was raw, thumbs up man i hope u make it big one day stay with your passion

  • hey thanks a lot man

  • nice XD

  • fuckin ace!!!!

  • my fav slipknot tune. u did this sic man nice1

  • my fav 2!!

  • i don't totally get this. do you have tracks on the LP? and if thats the case where do you get them?

  • yes the sound effects are on the lp. u just buy scratch records from online stores, guitarcenter, etc.

  • What LP's do you use?

  • i use full metal scratch-it and superseal

  • Sick Dude Love It

    - Mikala <3

  • defo of ur work!!!!!!! SHIT 1 star u cum wipe

  • WOW u really talented u shud join a band or something you cud make a lot of cash and get famous

  • haha thanks man i'd love to some day

  • dude,thats awesome!

  • in this ozzfest 99 version im running the pitch at +10%. but if u listen to purity from disasterpieces, he does play it at -40%

  • Rad DJing man. Question, where did you learn how to do sid wilsons scratches and what pitch to use?

  • i just listened to the song and learned the scratches by ear. also i use +10% pitch

  • sounds a bit high pitched, but i guess it's the camera... GREAT THO 5*

  • i'm running the pitch +10% on that sample because thats how he does it in that particular song. just like in the disasterpieces version of purity he plays the pitch -40%

  • okay ;)

  • how the fuck do you do this my mind is wondering

  • this song is so good played live

I think it sounds better than the recorded version

  • me too. i dont like the "studio edited" sound from the album. i like the live crazy version better.

  • WOW!!!!

  • Good shit man , keep it up.

  • Damn dude, you are really fucking good. Too bad you don't have enough time to do this more often. Very nice job dude...keep it up!

  • thanks a lot man

  • So what's that little computer touch screen thing you're using?

  • its a korg kaoss pad kp2

  • nice

  • What's the mixer you're using?

  • its a gemini ps-04

  • WOW I've watched all of your videos now and they are sooo sick. What's the name of your band?

  • dont hav a band. just do this in my spare time

  • Nice but really lose the Stanton and gemini shit. BUt very nice your eally did nail it. I am about to put up my Slipknot covers so, maybe go check em out.

  • the stanton sucks but the gemini isnt too bad. i'll check out ur covers too.

  • I talked to sid on myspace. your sapose to play the full metal scratch it on +/- 0% for the purity track. It sounded like you were playing it on like + 20%. Just trying to help =) stay sic maggot.

  • ya +10 cause if u listen to the version i had playing in the background, he plays it at about +10.

  • Oh man, u really nailed this one. it has lots of great dj parts and u did really well. You should really cover Blister Exists, if only for the part where corey yells "DROP IT!" and then it hits it with that sic dj part.

  • hey.....do u really need 2 copies of sid's vinyls?

  • some songs have sid beat juggling so u would need 2 copies to do that, but no u dont REALLY need 2 copies.

  • Dude you have the best covers on youtube! If only you lived in CT. You would be the perfect turntableist for a cover band im trying to start.

  • ohh yeah... I kinda used a snip of this vid to make my own video. I hope you are alright with that.....Stay (sic)

  • thats fine as long as im credited.

  • i'd love to make a cover band but i hav no time with school and work

  • i lvoe the scratching in this song, and you did really well

    GOOD JOB! :D

  • thanks man

  • Tight dude! I'm drums for this song... We should team up!

  • i'll be guitar i gotta put my video up

  • sick man. u got vids?

  • never mind i see it. haha

  • What equipment are you using right there ?

  • vestax pdx 2300

    stanton t.60

    gemini ps-04

    digitech whammy 4

    kaoss pad kp2

  • in-fckuin-sane !!!! Seriously dude, I used to spin n it was primarily cuz of the sick shit sid does... u got that down packed.... what skratch lp r u using on the left TT? u got that korg mastered btw.... any chance of seeing u do a disasterpiece solo soon?? great vids man, i rele enjoyed them... ur the best,... hands down...

  • thanks man. on the left is dj starscream's "full metal scratch-it". as for solos i post em whenever i get time.

  • wow you play really well i mean i no nothing about scratching but lookin at the way you move your hands while scatchin you are alot like starcream (sid) :D stay (sic)

  • thanks man

  • no probs man

    just subscribed and added :D

    stay (sic)

  • Lol this is what I really wanted to hear. The scratching at 0:34 is awesome! But I'd have a suggestion. The original song has lower pitched scratches (I may not make any sence as I know nothing of dj-ing). A remake with that would be even greater.

  • ya i know what u mean. i did it this way cause thats how he does it live and most of my covers use the live songs.

  • Dj Jiggs my friend you are too sic

  • Thumbs up MAN.KiCk ass skillz Bro.

  • Cool!!! ;)

  • (sic) I thot u were Sid for a sec u so good!

  • bad ass man the style you do it is awesome for a second there i thought you were Sid

  • ignore slipknotdrummer he was once again signed into my youtube page. anyway thanks man.

  • arent you and slipknotdrummer brothers?

  • yep

  • wot kaoss pad is that??

  • its the KP2

  • Are just stepping on the Digitech Whammy Pedal or is there some kind of trick to it?

  • ya i got the whammy set 2 octaves up so the pitch goes way up.

  • wot vynls do u use

  • full metal scratch it and superseal

  • Comment removed

  • You use a digi pedal on that do you?

  • yea i do- digitech whammy 4. in between each set of scratches you will hear the pitch go way up. thats the pedal.

  • iv got that jumper o and your cool dude

  • what?

  • thats pretty fuckin good man

  • thanks

  • hey dude how do you plug the kaoss pad to the mixer?

  • my master output on the mixer goes to a digitech whammy 4. the output of the pedal connects to the kaoss pad.

  • what kind of mixer do you use?

  • its a gemini ps-04

  • OMG, SIC!! Honours to you dude!!

  • dude have u tried disasterpiece, sid has a sic part on it

  • i can do that song pretty good but havn't recorded it yet.

  • Hey Dude, You Know the Chorus?

Wheres He Singing "You All See But You'l Never See"

Theres A Background Sound, Sounds Like A Choir Voice?

You Know Where I Could Get that?

    Hope this Makes Sense :D

  • i know what ur talkin about but i dont know how to get it. that sound comes from craigs sampler. he uses a midi pad i think

  • it seems to be amplified in ur vid.. makes it sound more better :D

  • ya its live so he can make his sound effects as loud as he wants. i like to hear it too- it sounds good.

  • that chourus was was just a recording of corey's voice

    that craig played

    it sounds good though

  • ya i'd love to get it on its own :(

  • sweet i requested this!!!!

  • oh shit are you hitting the 45 rpm botton or sumthing?

  • for the high pitch thing i use a digitech whammy4- 2 octaves up.

  • and what effects program are you using on the kp2, i use number 20 when i do this song but i dont kno how u make it sound exactly like that without using the pad for effects at the end of each bar...theres alot less hand movement your way and it would save me the hassle of reaching for the pad after each bar if i knew wat u wer doin...i know this is how sid does it 2...cuz i can nail this song but i do it differently mine sounds basicaly the same but with a trippy sound at the end of each bar...

  • at the end of each bar there is a "bwop" kind of sound. thats craig. is that what ur talkin about or is it the super high pitch thing at the end of each bar? also if u could give me a time (1:32 or whatever) where i do it i might be able to give u some more help

  • thx, that makes perfect sense...ive thot bout gettin a whammy 4 but do u use it often besides slipknot stuff?

  • what kind of mixer is that?
