oh nd yeah those comments were a bit raunchy and tasteless....i mean damn leave it to the performance of the band rather than the comments of the announcer....thats a bit too extra...but i guess Cookmans needs those "extras"...i.e. Plies(cmon yall)
Not bad....actually it was really good....BUT NOWHERE NEAR A FAMU DANCE ROUTINE...FAMU adds just a bit more creativity to their drills and routines....seems like Cookman just does whats expected....like honestly they played "Freaky Girl" and lo and behold a sexually inspired image of a female figure is shown....i just feel that the element of suprise (with a lil spice)ALWAYS prevails
FAMU doesnt need the Honda to validate superiority. As far as I'm concerned bcc can keep going every year. The attendance will just keep declining like this year. When will bcc finally stop getting shown out at the Honda by other bands (FAMU, PV, JSU, NSU, TXSU)?
coming from a MARCHING WILDCAT i'll admit, that THIS YEAR(07) he did talk alot, but to act like Bullard has NEVER done the same thing is CRAZY maybe not lately, but NEVER you are crazy...I still love my friends on the hill and the FAMU & BCU ARE THE BEASTS OF HBCU BANDS...i think every announcer has a day where they get on spectators nerves(ex NSU Honda 08) I think ALL announcers should talk less more and let the shows speak for themselves
quit lying! Joe Bullard has NEVER said bcc/wildcats 6 damn times in one dance block. and that's just one portion of ya'll show so u can imagine the rest. that's pathetic and compensation for an otherwise lackluster routine just to get a crowd response
Dude, why do I see you on all BCU's clips making comments. If you can't stand us so much, keep it moving. BTW, for every 1 hater, there are 99 lovers.
I heard somebody say that BCU's Announcer was to harsh for the rattlers. I heard somebody say that if he needed a good laugh then he should be a comedian......ibeg to differ......NOTHING IS FUNNIER THAN WATCHING A MARCHING ONE HUNDRED PERFORMANCE!
Joe's jabs are not as numerous as BCU's announcer. he may mention the other band once or twice but never to the point where his comments are more entertaining than the actual show. BCU's announcer says FAMU so much that I start to think he's on payroll
Hey we(Cookman) got the "W" this year. Deal with and we will see the 100 again on the 50 next year. Dont get me wrong the 100 was good but just wasnt better than the PRIDE. Holla at ya boy at Honda.
The first song was called Brown Paper Bag(which is why he said that) then the last "played" song is called Freaky Girl(very popular)and when it comes on girls get freaky regardless if they are a rattler or a wildcat or anybody else for that matter lol...if you still go to the club go and wait for that song to come on and watch what happens, both our announcer's are known for low blows against other bands its almost a separate battle between them and the crowd loves it
I know both songs well which is why I commented. It is inappropriate either, if we had said that I would still have the same comment as most of the paying customers are seasoned in age. And for the record, I don't get freaky.
***SMH*** @ you crying...you aint the Rutger's basketball team, and he didn't call you a nappy headed h%e...he asked for a volunteer from the orange and green...calm your nerves
dude that was tacky no matter how u try to pretty package it. bcc announcer says FAMU/rattlers so much in the show that i cant tell which school he's speaking for. but i guess the crowd has to react to something since the actual show wasnt completely exciting
ok i just counted lol in this clip alone bcc announcer said "orange&green/100/rattlers/FAMU" at least 7 times. next year i'm going to start a betting pool lol
This is why people call you all country and classless. We may have problems at FAMU but we will remain classy. We may not play as much of the popular music but that is because we have standards. The 100 will not degrade the women in audience plus those songs lack strong musicality (harmony, melodies, precision, intonation...). And the announcer used profanity several times, he referred to us as freaky girls and just as MEACkang stated the show was not that great.
You obviously have never seen FAMn perform..."we may not plas much popular music, we will remain classy...etc" Come on, get off your high horse and really examine what you said. When was the last time you've heard Cookman and scandal in a meadia article/clip or better yet in the same sentence? Standards...musically, YES...but that's about as much as I give you. Tradition, HELL YEAH...but nothing more.
Cookman has had issues with finances and accreditation, it is just not blown out of proportion. Face it the MEDIA does not see you on our level. However, I was referring to the song selection. Read my comments for comprehension, not form a reply mid-sentence. Keep it real, FAMU puts out phenomenal graduates. As I said before, we are one HBCU family and others are defining themselves based us. Your spelling is a reflection of your university, so do better.
funny how the media works two ways. detractors savor over everything the st pete times writes. yet those same detractors purposefully ignore black enterprise, diverse issues in higher education, journals of blacks in higher education, etc. you know the MEDIA that ranked FAMU as the #1 university for black americans in the world, the #1 producer of black baccalaureates, PharmDs, Ph.Ds, and MBAs. selective reading maybe?
Baby Girl, "MY UNIVERSITY" is THE United States Military Academy at West Point. I was raised in Daytona, so all I care about is that little country school on the salt. I had a Presidential Scholarship to FAMn, but that compared to a West Point appointment...hmm, you tell me what choice I made.
it never ceases to amaze me. i guess when folk cant defend their band program they have to divert with non topical diatribe. how did a discussion about bands turn into amusement with alleged FAMU "media scandals"? honestly you dont have to give FAMU anything because the record speaks for itself - past, present, and future.
Looks like you've been studying that Thesaurus very well!!! That FAMn education payed off. Glad I bought all those Lottery tickets to help support State Education! We were talking about the BAND, and the BAND has been negatively portrayed in the MEDIA...nothing said was "non topical diatribe".
no thesaurus. just a product of the #1 University for Black Americans in the world. THE WORLD CRAIG!!!! lol. and i was only supporting what my LADY RATTLER said about finance/accred being neg portrayed in the media. she figured u -like most ppl- divert when they cant defend due to ur comment about "scandal" which had general application; no reference to bands. if you had employed that FAMU Pres Schol i bet you wouldnt have missed learning comprehensible subject context in enc1101
Nah, I'm content with the education that I attained...thanks though. I did not divert, simply stated a fact about the band program when she started rambling about the stuff she mentioned. But I guess I have to specify the "#azing" and "$te@ling" episodes of "As The 100 Turns"
next time just say what you mean, and mean what you say. but u should appreciate my LADY RATTLER's lesson on neg media propaganda b/c EDUCATION doesnt end after GRADUATION. plus u didnt have to buy a lotto ticket to learn it. now u can use that xtra money to donate to BCU's "c" to "u" new uniform drive lol
I prefer to continue to support other's education while trying to further my wealth. They aren't changing uniforms for awhile. So no need to rush and donate.
no different from previous year disisses from the 100 announcer...Both announcers are directing their comments at the bands, but they don't always say PRIDE or 100...Joe sometimes simply says Cookman, Bethune-Cookman,BCU,or Wildcats...its all in fun i remember a year famu called themselves trap stars(drugs)because it went with the song and another time when they blew us up while doing bombs over bagdad a few its all in fun the classic halftime from both bands was AWESOME
It is not that complicated. You've seen it a million time on I-95 or I-10 when you were behind the big 18 Wheeler. Yes, it's the sexy lady that you see on the sticker eithe on a rear windsheild or splash guard on the 18 wheeler. Have A Nice Holiday Season.
Also, the announcer was just at the videographer stated, tasteless. To call the Rattler ladies, Freaky Girls and to do the Stomp a Rattler, that is classless. Keep the jabs directed to the band. We are still all HBCUs, one big family.
Quit crying...y'all been taking shots at Cookman for years...classless is when your band director lets your drummajors walk on the field before the other band leaves, classless is all them plumes/hats/debri left on the field after a show, etc...
when BCU started gettin with FAMU is just opinion in which every1 is entitled. for ex i think since 98 BCU has given FAMU some great comp but got the W once b/c the shows always start with a bang but end flat
