Those were the days ! The comics was to entertain and teach boys and girls to be better people. The cartoons of today are just bad words, bullets, slaughter ... And then we complain about what they do and say children and teens ! What a failure !
Dear Miss.OddStar, Unfortuneately.."Popeye Meets The Man Who Hated Laughter!"is not available on dvd at this time.I'm sorry..I wish that I could be of more help to you.
Oh man! How I remember watching these when I was five or six years old. Please somebody post The Man Who Hated Laughter and The Red Baron. Those were my favorite ones.
I remember this well. Most of the movies were bad, but I especially liked "Yogi's Ark Lark" because of its environmentalist message (it became the pilot for the "Yogi's Gang" Saturday morning series; in each episode they wrestled with a villain representing one type of pollution) and the two-part "Oliver and the Artful Dodger" because of its great songs and its smattering of literary sophistication, which was quite unusual for Hanna-Barbera. Thanks for bringing back the memories!
The Invisible Man. The Invisible Woman. The Invisible Kid. The Invisible Dog. The Invisible Car. The Invisible House. The Invisible Sandwich. The Invisible Toothbrush. The Invisible Bellybutton Lint.
I have a bunch of these on tape: Lost In Space cartoon, Banana Splits, Looney Tunes meet The Groovie Ghoulies, Yogi's Ark Lark, Tabitha and Adam, The Man Who Hated Laughter, and Lassie's Rescue Rangers.
In 1972-3, 2 "movie" series ran head-to-head against each other on Saturdays: The Saturday Superstar Movie on ABC and The New Scooby-Doo Movies on CBS.
Even though both shows were only 60 minutes long!
Another nostalgic gem, muttley. Keep 'em coming! ;-)
love the cartoon retro...it takes me back. Saturday Superstar movie was one of my favorites. I'm breaking out the froot loops now!

This was before my time. I'm a child of the 1980s. Still though, the graphics are cool!

I wonder if ABC would ever release a box set of Saturday Superstar Movies on DVD? That would rock! With classic commercials also!

This looks really good. Tabith and Adam would have been really good. Wish I would have seen it. How long did it last?

I remember watching Tabitha and Adam. Unfortunately, it was really bad. Still, I'd love to see it again just because it would bring back memories.

I wish I'd seen this. I was old enough, but I don't remember it. I would've loved seeing Nanny and the Professor animated at least.
