  • Excellent.

  • R.I.P Gerard Smith

  • i have a feeling blues is gonna make a come back. i dont know when but its gonna happen

  • Love TV on The Radio - thank you for making BRILLIANT music! Thank you for being beautiful examples of genius and the creative diversity of what black music is. It's universal, it's soulful, it's authentic, it's real. Peace.

  • finally real talent!!!!!

  • RIP Gerard. Much love.

  • RIP Gerard Smith, you did something great here and helped a lot of people feel really good. Keep it up!

  • Awhh..stop pretend...JUST DO IT..it'll make you feel better..you people have no sense of humor..YUCK!

  • It's quite refreshing to see a mostly black group be experimental instead of selling out to the mainstream hip-hop crap that dominates the airwaves

  • @BombasticPeach -_- comments like these are soooooo tired.

  • @june18th1988 In what way? I think TOTR is in a category of their own and gets my props for not conforming to what is most popular these days.

  • @BombasticPeach If they were white, you wouldn't say a thing about their race.

  • @june18th1988 I think what he meant to say is that rap and hip hop are very strong in African American culture and it's rare to see African American musicians play other genres. Don't look down on him for it, I thought the same thing. We're subjected to an unrelenting amount of rap and hip hop in canadian/american culture with most of these artists being black, so biases will likely be formed until proven otherwise.

  • @TheBurningBuddhist "It's rare to see African American musicians play other genres" Sorry but I disagree. I've been going to the Afro punk festival pretty much non stop for about 5 years now .I own the movie on dvd,and am also a fan of a good number of African American artists considered"alternative" What IS rare is for African American artists who don't play hip hop or r&b to get any air time on mainstream radio or strong general support in the music industry.

  • @TRANZEURO I only based my opinions on what I know, so thank you for enlightening me.

  • @TRANZEURO Each one, teach one....thank you for expressing your wisdom articulately. Peace.

  • @june18th1988 I don't think you understand what Bombastic is trying to say. If they were white, it wouldn't be news. It would still be good music, but it wouldn't be news. It is REFRESHING to see a mostly BLACK group surface that plays music other than Hip hop. Bombastic didn't say "TV on the Radio sounds SUCH MUCH BETTER since they're black" Calm down bro.

  • @usernamethatismine

    I agree with you.

  • @june18th1988 you're lame

  • @BombasticPeach no offense but shut up with that. This is not about race and plenty of "black" groups are and have been doing that but they just don't get air time.

  • This song remind me of my Mom. It touches me so deeply that it is if that there words were lifted from my brain to TV's lips.

Thank You guys for expressing yourself in such a way that impacts others.

    God bless you all

  • well i'll be damned, there is still good music out there being made

  • baugh!!! I want an mp3 of this.

  • baugh!!! I want an mp3 of this.

  • If anyone actually has a band memo on what they wrote this song about it would be massively appreciated. Love this song regardless.

  • @onlinelate18 No actual band memo but I think it's fairly readable. It's about one mans blues being sung to God (big G). He's asking God "How's the Blues sound from up there" meaning how do our pathetic cries for help and relief sound to the omnipotent.

It's a letter to God that like every letter to God goes unanswered. He then releases his frustration by claiming "this is not the last you've heard from me". There are some epic idioms in place here if you can wrap your head around them.

  • ohh this hit so hard. love the original, love this. "you might doubt it..."
