This was such a gem to see. And those people were so kind & sweet in their interviews. Made me sad. I am a new James Dean fan & just want to know more about him. From all the clips I've seen, he seems to have a gentle sweetness w/out the snobbery of some of the other Hollywood stars. Amazing. all the lives he touched & still continues to touch 50+ years after he left the world. Thank you for posting this.

Where were all you people when I was there in 2004? I was in town 3 days and could not find one person who ever saw him much less got autographs. That is why I am jettrink on here, it was my favorite role of his, went to the Evans ranch as well and the old windmill.

we are making the theatreplay "come back Jimmy Dean, come back to the 5 & dime" and it's like the author saw this interview and was inspired to make a play out of it.

Really?? That is so cool - i just bought the James Dean DVD pack with all his films and a dockumentary. Maybe your mother is on the extra materials where they talk with people from Marfa who meet him. James Dean forever :)
