This is a great monitor. Used it for my PC and Xbox 360. I have had this 2 years now and use it heavily with no problems. Great picture and good looking.

I have this monitor. Great for the Xbox 360, terrible for the PS3 which I now own because my Xbox 360 died. If you own a PS3, get an HDTV. Not a HD Monitor such as this. Battlefield 3 on the PS3 looks dark, graphics look horrible. But it's not because of the game or the PS3, it's just not the right monitor for the PS3. I am going to get an HDTV soon.

@paulwc35 There's a problem with this model of monitor. It will never go full screen when an HDMI cable is plugged into it. As far as I know there is no fix. DVI works pretty darn well, though. I can hardly tell the difference.

i really don't get what is the point of widescreen. i think that most people nowdays use computers for internet. and widescreen makes no sence for that. and everybody is gonna be saying that it's better for movies. don't most people have a TV beside only a computer?

@jolanza2006 games only work better on widescreens beacouse the changed them. i know it all happend beacouse of the TVs. and yes movies look better on widescreen. but still most of the people use computers for internet. and 23" widescreen has about as much useful picture for internet as a 17", if you use the whole screen you haveto scroll down every half of second.i really hope this crazy widescreen trend is gonna end cuz it just makes no sence.

Great "quality" monitor for the money ! I love the styling similar to a HDTV casing as it is intended as multi-media screen.

Remember to turn your ACM setting to ON and select the USER setting in the "empowering technology" menu or else it will reset to default settings once you power ON and OFF the monitor. This is not well explained in the Acer manual nor do their tech support understand

The store probably took a week to processes the return, then they have to send it back to there head office for RMA goods, then they have to send the item to Acer. I personally would of sucked up the 15 bucks in shipping it would have cost, and shipped it right to acer. You would of had it back in a week.

@LordddVincent: Even if you've already figured it out this may help others. If your PS3/360 is hooked up by HDMI (or you just want to use speakers) then you can get a 3.5mm red and white headphone jack splitter or a 3.5mm to Stereo RCA Male Cable with extenders that plugs into your external speakers and runs audio from the connected red/white cables. I did the latter and it works great for my PC and PS3/360, only cost about $2-5 for the cables or splitter.

@polmp789 they have an adapter that is sold for about 3 bucks at gamestop. u will need an hdmi cable from xbox to acer monitor, but then plug in adapter with a red, yellow, white end to it and your speakers, then u have sound and picture.

So, I have HDMI hooked up to my xbox 360 and VGA to my computer monitor. Why is it when I hit the "input" button, it does not show the hdmi?

It just blinks "HDMI" in black screen and then blinks a bunch of time "VGA" and goes back to my computer monitor. What is going on?

dude i play this all the time with call of duty mw2 and Halo 3! Whenever i want to switch to my regular computer monitor i just press "Input" and it does the rest for me, and the screen is beautiful. My monitor never gets hot...unless i dont turn it off but then again anything would get hot. @thegreatzuzu sounds like the monitor itself is on 4:3 aspect ratio. Go throught the monitors OSD and find the setting to change it to 16:10 or 16:9

The monitor is very sharp, and really pretty, colours are intense, to go to 1920x1080 you will need to get a proper video card, ive had some problems with onboard vga going to a big resolution everything gets really grainy looking. not very nice. best is to get a video card with a DVI or HDMI out to set the resolution to the monitors native rez. i believe you'll be needing a AGP card for your computer.

hey, thats called windows 3d flip. Make sure windows areo theme is on and press the start button and the tab button together on your keyboard.

Right click on Desktop, Personalize, click one of the areo themes.if you press start button - CTRL-ATL it will bring up the 3d flip and hold it there rather then just a shuffle. Umm for not having a start menu button i believe there is a setting which alows you to change the start button- tab 3d flip to just alt-tab.

I just got this for Christmas and it's a great monitor. I use it for tv, xbox, and as a computer monitor but the internal speakers are a little shitty. How do I plug headphones or external speakers into it. There's a terqouise audio in jack on the back and I have this cable with a matching terqouise side and a blue side on the other. What do I do? Its still a great monitor for $140. I love the touch display and the HD picture. I dont like the single hdmi input though, or the shitty audio.

unfortunatly you cant get external audio. the green plug in on the back if for audio input. everything has its faults just so happens acer didn't spend much time on the speakers in it.

Hey. I'm running the newer xbox 360 with the hdmi out, so i run direct from the system. i Blue diamond or streamwire hdmi cables. There gold plated and very thick. Ive never had a single problem with them.

Sorry my bad. They are 1.5 watt, they still suck. The ps3 looks really good on this monitor, not as good as the 360 but it still looks good, Ive always found the ps3 looks better on a bigger tv, and the 360 looks better on a smaller tv.
