Brenda Lee is one of those Cinderella stories. She had a rough childhood, was exploited by her greedy parents, but then found happiness as a wife and mother.
I met Brenda in 1981 after a performance. She's just as sweet and kind as you'd think. What a contributor to the industry. One of a kind indeed!

The song was a hit in 1957, but this is probably in 1960. Note that Red Foley says "one of your hits" , meaning an oldie at the start.
