The editing program I use is Adobe Premier Elements. I did a simple greenscreen shot of my thumb and went from there. The explosion was courtesty of DetonationFilmsDOTcom. They do stock explosion greenscreen footage. Some of it is free and some you have to pay for.

I got this one at Floor-mart. It's a Wal-mart subisidiary. The Feds shut them down a while back for selling unsafe products. Thankfully I stocked up during their "Buy Now Before We're Sued Out Of Existance Going Out Of Business Sale".
