I've been playing scout on pugs on tf2lobby alot lately, and I've found the FaN to be very useful for mid on this map. You can use it to go up the walls on the sides of the buildings (usually rj only), which is a great place to surprise attack.
Also, you can use the triple jump to get onto the ledges above the point. Because of that, you can pick up the small health packs, and let other teammates pick up the main ones.
But yeah, I'm new too this, and this video has help alot thanks!!
if comp who does your better soldier be. roaming or pocket. ie if im best soly for my 6 v6 should i pocket or roaming. its prolly easier to pocket so should the good one be roaming?
What are the best jumps to mid on the map? I know them loosely but I like to improve them. I like as demo to jump to the healthpack but sometimes I feel isolated if the enemy is running 2 scouts. Soldier I don't really know.
Solly jumps are pretty basic. Just gotta get to 2nd, then jump up to the hallway. I saw a vid on it somewhere but can't find it on youtube. I'd think for Demo the jump to healthpack is best.
The pocket soldier is the soldier currently assigned to the defense and protection of the Medic. The Pocket Soldier + Medic makes up the Combo.
The Roaming Soldier is the soldier who goes out and does damage, protects high area, etc. He has more freedom to roam around and do what he pleases.
In case you didn't know, the Cookie Cutter lineup (or, the Default Lineup for Competitive play) is Two Scouts, Two Soldiers, One Medic, and One Demoman
No question is a bad question. Pocket refers to the Soldier, usually, who's main job is to stick close to the medic and protect them. The roamer is conversly the Soldier that is more aggressive and disconnected from the Medic. If the soldier is dead, the term Pocket can be used to refer to whoever is paired up with the Medic and protecting them such as a Pocket Demo, Pocket Scout, Pocket Pyro, or Pocket Heavy :-) but usually Soldier.

I love this whole channel, even if I will never be close to comp level.
