  • Edmonton is the most horrible city of Canada. No wonder people gonna behave like idiots.

  • These 'flash mob' carol events taking place in shopping centres are entirely appropriate, since 'consumerism' and shopping appear to be almost a religious experience for many people.

  • Praise God!! Well done everyone and MERRY CHRISTMAS and God's blessing on each of you

  • Very true.

  • ow what a lesbian evening.

  • good for the edmonton opera to show community support!! this was wonderful!

  • How many non-members joined in on the singing? I would have if I had been there.

  • Who care if it offends someone. It's a Christian song, don't like it tough.

  • @Drewnhossle Yeah.. Really.. And besides.. If you're in a Mall on Christmas it too is decked out for the holidays.. So if you go there during that time.. It's your own fault.

  • i was there stuck in starbucks when this was going on. and it wasn't really a flashmob they had sheet music they were handing out and all the camaras were set up so it wasn't a real surprise

  • wish i would have been there. i always! g2g city center but aparrently i was sleeping dat day :(

  • Why not try your own real original flashmob instead of jumping on the bandwagon .. .just saying

  • Maybe we could organise a Flash Stoning

  • I hope this did not offend some muslim

  • @Fattboy26 LOLOL And that would matter why??? Good point.

  • @edmonton67

Its should not or ever matter and when it does matter in your nation then I would be alarmed.

    Merry Xmas

  • I would like to see people do more Christmas Caroling in general. I have some fond memories of it from when I was younger.

  • Welland really started something....eh? It's good to see.

  • What's awesome about this, is that it is catching on. Who cares whether is is a flash mob or not, or whether it is original or not??? The point is, that people all over the world are singing this song. "The LORD God omnipotent reigneth forever and ever, Hallelujah."

  • Really awesome!

  • lol sorry but my mall gets more flash mobs on a Sunday evening :\

  • Man when I start singing in public , im always escorted out... fucking double standards.

  • awesome!

  • In other news... The Grinch was pronounced dead on the scene of a house in Canada today!

    /watch?v=gR2cE6FXeCk

  • edmonton? more like deadmonton...

  • Man, would I ever feel goofy participating in something like this if I knew another group had already done it!

  • OILERS SUCK

  • @AlwiShahab1 Quit trolin'

  • Would have liked to be there. Check out the original..

  • peteC[the punner]] very much enjoyed participating in this Christian Witness !!!

  • Love that they do these, but why this song? Why not one that everyone can join in? It would be amazing if that happened. Life should be a musical!

  • Not really a flash mob. But still fun to see as I know many of the people there. I miss being a part of the RES.

  • I am proud to say that my Uncle, Bob VanEssen, was part of this! Way to bring home the Christmas spirit to everyone! No, it may not be origonal, but it is still fantastic that they did this!

  • @ConnieDyment My uncle was in this too! :p This is such a cool thing to be a part of. Wish I was there!

  • this isn't really a flashmob

  • @sweetsexc Who gives a shit? I'm guessing you're what, about 15 or so? Grow up.

  • Flash Mob? Not really. (Flash Mobs don't use sheet music)

Original? No (outdone by the original most definitely)

Promotion for their Messiah concerts? Yes (and for that, good on them)

  • @The4whatitisworth Really? Who cares what it is or what it has been done for? Take your poor attitude and watch something else. Its not a competetion, Its a localized effort with numerous singers from throughout the entire city - no need to read into it any further.

  • @The4whatitisworth way to go blowing things over the proportion...must be proud of yourself?

  • @The4whatitisworth bah humbug much

  • I grew up in Edmonton, and loved seeing this video for many reasons. The enthusiasm and sheer joy of the singers was inspiring to watch and to listen to.

A great city - you've done yourself proud with this flash mob video!

  • Wow edmonton opera - this is truly amazing and uplifting!!!

  • This is fantastic!

  • Thank-you Edmonton Opera for organizing such a fantastic afternoon!

  • Love these flash mob vids, but they always work better if you can see the lead up to the start to give some context!
