Back to the film, I cry nearly every time I watch it. It's so emotional, so sad. The leaders of the Axis nations may have been tyrants, but the stories of their soldiers, forced to fight a war they didn't want or need to fight, are much more moving to me.

Overall, I liked this movie quite a bit. But the character Saigo was utterly disgraceful and an insult compared to those soldiers that fought to the bitter end for the Japanese.

Japanese school textbooks teach that Asia was going to be invaded by the West in the early 1900's so Japan invaded them for the PEACE & STABILITY of Asia.

Why are there so many arguments... Japan may have done wrong, but they werent the only country who did this. In japan the people their are kind and respectful to everyone. When there was earthquakes in japan earlier this year, Australia and other countries that fought with japan in ww2, help save peoples lives in japan.
