Reminds me of when I was in Peru and had Pollo a la Brasa (Peruvian chicken). Pollo Topical, La Granja and other Florida restaurant chains don't even come close to the real Peruvian food.
Da Michele: la migliore in assoluto. Solo una cosa. La prossima volta non mangiatela con coltello e forchetta, prendetela e piegatela a libretto in 4. Questo é il modo naturale e originale per mangiarla!
@ruoccoma can i now what are you saying about da michele in english or spanish please?.... I couldnt understand what you said about that, just few words, thanks!
Podría saber que dijiste sobre da michele en inglés o español porfavor?.... No pude entenderte bien, sólo algunas palabras sobre ello, gracias!
Oh and if you go again try Da attilio in the Quartieri Spagnoli (Spanish Quarters)....Not only is the pizza great but you're in a really atmospheric old part of the city)
@mauriciomille Yes is pizzas,,,,This is historic district where Spanish soldiers had barracks in 1700's, I love the pizza you find here....but it is a place not visited by tourists. Pizza is really fantastic!!!!
@pete1201 Why says that's not visited by tourists?, not allowed or?.... Of course i will eat there when i'll visit napoles, nor thinking twice, some say that the most delicious pizza are napolitana and marinara
@mauriciomille Try Da Atillio in Via Pignasecca just 200metres from Montesanto Station...if you can find better please tell me!!! I'm sure you will love...try the Margherita...FANTASTIC
Interesting conclusion you Yanks came to "less is more". For years I have eaten pizza with all manner of toppings. Then I tried the margherita DOC. Well what an education, no pizza in the world can recreate this taste.
The simple facts are the tomatoes are grown on the fertile slopes of vesuvius (san marzano), the cheese is from a registered buffalo herd, the flour a specific grade.....and the water is special (mineral laden from mountains in land). Really enjoyed your vid!!!!!!
Was in Napoli November 2009 and ate at Da Michele while there also.
By far the best pizza in the city. Brandi is the oldest by their claim, but they also price there pizza double in comparison to Da Michele. This is where everyday people go to eat pizza in the city. Just catch a cab and ask where do you take your family? He or she will lead you in one direction.
These guys do not seem like NY Italians they pronounce Italian words like 'merighan. Also where do these guys get off coming to Napoli and telling a place that has been in business for years what to take off there menu? How did they not get beat up and robbed by Neapolitan natives?
