Yes the Bay is an Arab, when this video was taken I think he was about 20.

llol i love it. haha my barrel horse is amazing and that what she loves to do but i take her for dressage and jumping lessons lol. and we compete in little shows so thats great !! love it

I teach all my barrel horse to jump and my jumping horse to run barrels =] The two events compliment each other. Say in the instance that you knock a barrel in front of your horse, i've had my horses jump it by them selves due to their other training. Very nice run!

My Gah!!!! I wish people would stop trying to put you down and or give advice for barrel racing better. It was just for fun!!!!!!! JUST FOR FUN! Who cares about pockets! that was so funny!! but your horses would do better if you made a pocket and then came into the barrel. and my horse does barrels and he trots them all the time in practice, the person who posted that needs to do a ton of slow work with her horse.

because he doesnt do barrels, your horse is used to them and gets all excited and ready to do her job. counsler and all the others dont do barrels at all we were just doing it to do something fun and goof off

haha ya his mane is pretty pathetic tho, very thinned out because he used to rub it. We need to transfer some of his tail to his mane so he looks even. Hes a good old man tho hes sparks of enery arent even comparabled to my horses lazy days!

ya whe i practice i do it for fun i dont want my horse to think that everytime she sees a barrel she has to work really hard...when i practice i let her do it at her own pace...but u guys were great!!!i hope u ahd fun!!!!

I ride English too but every now and then I like to do some barrels or pole bending or that sort of thing. Keeps things interesting for the horses and fun for me too!

Someone said galloping in an English saddle would be hard... I don't get that, I gallop out on the trails all the time in a dressage saddle and don't have a problem lol

Lol Spindrifter that wasent the wrong pattern it was just to the left! I have two horses one is "left handed" the other is "right handed" it denpends on horse and rider which direction they go, some horses like my new one just run better to the left!

The girl on the Arab. He/She is Gorgeous!!! I have a Warmblood X Arab gelding. I LOVE ARABS!!! lol I can see he/she has some what of a head set. you can get alot better of one with a training martingale. They work great we use them on all our arabs. just a lil tip!

Thanks for the comment-magic is a 21 year old arab gelding so kind of in retirment even though i dont think he is ever going to loose his spunk we are hoping to do some dressage shows in the spring but dont know right now b/c he is currently been over the last 6 weeks recoving from an episode of founder(so sad) and also has insulin resistance. So i should be able to ride him hopefully by late april early may b/c so far (cross my fingers) magic is doing great-Thanks again for the tip though

None of you ran the pattern wrong. You just ran it to the left. Most people run to the right but both are proper patterns. Watch a rodeo on tv sometime, chances are at least one girl will run to the left. And it did look like it was fun!
