  • @Lacera7or wtf u talkin about tsukamoto is the world champ

  • sorry i didnt know they fight like this cause its not kyokushin if they fought like this in a kyokushin fight i would call them retards (at least the black guy) just like i call the uploader right now

  • why does the black guy follow his oppoments rules? (i know that panic that doesnt let you think but its crystal clear he doesnt stand a change with plain big hits agianst that guy) if i was him i would use my hands more cause the other guy is too fast for me to play by his rules

  • 2:07 flashy but still effective

  • soko has a brutal front kick.

  • this is shinkyokushin, but i think tsukamoto decided to fight like tae kwon do against someone who is clearly tae kwon do, either way, its interesting to see in adaptation

  • THEY ARE...fighting in the shinkyokushin ;;;;OPEN;;; WORLR tournament...no matter how they figh ts they are shinkyokushin fighters.... OSU

  • I pratic Kyokushin karate since 1987, i'm sandan, it's not a Kyokushin fight.

The Kyokushin fighter punch also... Osu!

  • this is not kyokushin!!!!

  • Kyokushin prides itself on being progressive, absorbing what works for the practitioner even if it happens to be from another style. Sosai Oyama admired a lot of Muay Thai techniques, for instance, and there are many modified versions of them to be found in his style. OSU!

  • haha svenska kommentatorerna: 1:00

"ja vad ska jag saga, det ar valdigt mycket hopp och sadar som du ser"

"jag tyckte det stod nanting om superfight?" "ja.. hmm.. ja det vet jag ingenting om"

"ja men de har tva, de fightas ju mot varandra"

    "har sparkar de valdigt mycket"

    HAHAHAHA

  • this is not kyokushin, this is shinkyokushin, please change the name!!!

  • @hwangsutran

you are just being an asshole.i bet you know there's no style difference between kyokushin and shinkyokushin.it doesn't matter at what organization you are affiliated, the most important thing is Sosai's herritage!

  • sorry not 2:27 its 2:19 look at the south africans arms.... wtf osu

  • 2:27 is the most gay part..... this is not kyokushin osu!

  • this is not kyokushin

    this is kyokugay

  • this is kyokoshin, they said OSU! at begining

  • i think it's mixed... TKD and kyokushin...

  • what the hell is this shit .. ? TKD ? omg this is the bitchiest kyokushin i'v ever seen ....

  • the african guy seem like using tkd stance and and kick.. for my view he keep his stance too high and float too much.

  • this is very much kyokushin karate. not what you might see as the norm for kyokushin karate. the japanese guy is TSUKAMOTO. he is now in IKO2 which is also known as SHINKYOKUSHIN. it is still kyokushin. the african dude.....well i dont really know why he is fighting like that. but tsukamoto's fighting style has always been alot of fancy kicks, looking for the knockout. he doesn't like getting in close. hope this helps. OSU!

  • yep not kyokushin at all

  • that's not kyokushin

  • this is definitely not kyokushin

  • I have to agree the South African looks like he has his foundation in TKD or some other sport karate (no disrespect). Suicide kicks, spinning back kicks, Tobi Ushiro Kakato Geri, are the "hay maker" of kyokushin karate. this fight looked like two guys trying to generate KOs and they are staying out of second interval

  • Get farked this is Kyokushin..no way these ballet dancers would have gotten their black belt fighting like this...a disgrace...!!

  • i agree. I dont know what they are doing. Maybe someone screwed up the directions to the tkd mat?

  • WTF!

  • jumping around like its tkd.... thats what he get for results.

  • what is the weight difference here? looks big

  • Nice sweep on 1:57

  • It really looked like some tk fight x_X

  • its tricky fighting against a more powerful fighter. you gotta adjust your tactics depending on your opponent and in this case, hes keeping his range to keep things even. you'll get shredded by tsukamoto's knees if you come in close!

  • the southafrican guy must have trained in either taekwando or semi contact point karate, however i think he needs to train more in full contact, kyokushin is all about endurance and not fancy kicks

  • Btw, both fighers in this video are kickers and both use fancy kicks, right? It is just the japan guy is better. But the black guy isn't bad too, he still can kick my ass easily if I have to fight him :P :P :P.

  • Yeah i agree the south african guy is good and i guess he was being tactical but regardless of size all kyokushin fighters even 65 kg fighters like Kenji Midori never backed down from a good punchup at close range. Ever watched Matsui vs Andy Hug, Hug was clearly much heavier and bigger than Matsui Shokei but the fight was fought at close range and Hug was under the defensive..that is the essence of kyokushin-full contact close range fighting regardless of how big the opponent.

  • The kick at about 2:07 or 2:08 from the Japanese guy wasn't a fancy kick?

  • what kind of answer are you expecting? yes?

  • man the black guy from africa dosnt even know how to hunt baffalo correctly how the hell is hhe suppost to learn kyokushin karate

  • I know Karate but never hunted a "baffalo"

You are aware that even if this man ever hunted in his life, which i doubt, the odds of catching a buffalo are kinda slim in South Africa.. Read some books

  • Yeah, there's no "baffalo" in South Africa, and you would need to go further north (where I leave)to see BUFFALOES. Would love to meet you on a kyokushin competition after you have read a few books white guy.

  • the taller guy is going easy on him. not even trying...

  • Are they not allowed to punch???

Wtf this looks like TKD they're not even keeping their hands up.

  • maybe both these guys weren't as confident with close distance fighting??? kinda interesting...

  • it does look like tkd ,because this is shinkyokushin iko2 .. no more close fighting .

    real kyokushin is iko1 kyokushinkaikan

  • zaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal

  • alotta tkd hate on here. The african guy had his own techniques.. whatw a she suppsoed 2 do stand in front of tsukomoto and get pounded? nah he kept it moving.

  • pretty goodfight. i wonder why both of them dont use a side kick though. i think it would be really usefull when an oppnent is rushing in. just snap out really fast i guess

  • hehe the commentators are speaking in Swedish :P I'm from Sweden :D

  • WTF!!!!! normally tsukamoto should have been able to knock out this fool in first round seems like he's playing around wit him ... the south african guy makes kyokushin look bad

  • makes it look like tkd yes , but apparently tsukamoto went easy on him.

  • yea he could of powed his ass badly if he wanted

  • on a second thought , actually he underestimated him , he could have lost

  • hey the guy from africa should go and play some Tkd thats is not kyokushin style

  • Hi, I've decided to join a Kenpo dojo (My former art is To-Shin Do) solely because I am seeking competition and they hold competition regularly.

Being of the crippling influence, I'd like to know everything that is allowed, so I don't overdo it, if anyone would be so kind as to point me to association rules?

  • I think Tsukamoto was quite pissed through out this fight? Kinda, after the 2nd and 3rd consecutive falls of Soko lol.

His faced gave that "zzz again?" look. No offense lol.

  • is it against the rule to catch the leg?

  • It's illegal to grab it.

Catching it for couple of seconds is ok.

  • i actually would like to see the gear dropped so Olympic tkd would get more respectr as a striking art. unless you are a fighter, you cannot tell how much power is being distributed unless you are in the ring, or close by to hear the shots. people think we "slap" or flicker kicks; far from it. it is full power, and no gear would end bad quickly.

  • I agree man. There are too many McDojos propagating what they teach as authentic Tae Kwan Do or Karate. Full contact is what its all about, no less. For some reason I feel that you arent lying about your experience. Do you teach?

  • i do like these rules; very similar to olympic tkd rules, except without gear. we only implemented pur gear, because the sport was getting too fast, to powerful, and too technical. people havce died with headshots with headgear (anaheim, ca. '99 us open), as well as suffered broken ribs with chest gear; it would be insane to lose the gear. would be a good matchup yunder these rules though with no gear; we too punch to the body; not the face in competetition; very similar.

  • The difference between kyokushin and tkd rules is that kyokushin:

    1. Allows lowkicks, elbows (below the neck, like punches) and kneeing the opponent (like any kick).

    2. continuous fighting -no breaking after every hit.

    3. Its full contact without protective equipment.

    4. Points are given for knockdowns/knockouts. Not for mere hits.

Basically the similarities with WTF tkd is only that neither allow punches targeting the head.

  • IN response to your breakdown...

    1. You are right, we don't allow those things.

    2. We have continuous fighting also; we don;t stop after a point, it is just that we don't allow holding, and many fighters purposely jam their opponents up after scoring a point and closing the gap; that there is no counter.

    3. We are full contact WITH equipment, its true...no way we could lose the equipment in our sport.

    4. Mere hits? I used to train with two chest protectors.

  • you MAY hit with full contact to score points, but you dont NEED to do it. Once the electronic vest that meassures the power of the impact (and only scores if it is above a certain level) are implemented it might become different. But at the moment, a "mere" tap, scores just as much as a full power kick.

But I was not trying to put tkd down as a art, just explain the difference in rules, since you made it sound like it was almost the same.

  • no problem...i agree with you that you don't have to hit that hard, but it is supposed to be 'trembling shock" in order to get a point under national and international rules. the problem with not using pressure sensitive auto scoring vests is that judges can score taps, and not score hard hits; inconsistent.

  • this Olympics in Beijing, I thought they were implementing the Adidas remote chest gears? If so, they need to make sure that they adjust the sensitivity to only score hard hits.

  • Soko fights like a TKD guy, thats the problem with TKD in my opinion, they commit too much to an attack. Tsukamoto picked him apart nicely

  • ironwarrior; i have trained in olympic tkd for 30 yrs, and i am a counterfighter and i don't agree with the "commit too much thing", this south african sucks if you ak me; he would have his ass handed to him at our world championships held every 2 years; he telegraphs, is too slow, and one dimensional; timing sucks as well. oh, he wouldn't place at nationals, he wouldn't make it to team trials (round robin matches), and he wouldn't even make the team to go to worlds.

  • the move norichika pulls at 2mins is insane, aside from that he took a clean, 1 sided victory.

    good fight

  • norichika won btw. I dont know why people post crap like below...

  • u saw that move atb 2:08 wow !!!

  • n u r rite the jap won the black dude miss all this head kick he was tri ing 2 be 2 fancey with all the spinnig hook kick

  • the african fighter won

  • south african... t here is no "african" fighter.

  • Why is the "south" african not an "African", when the so-calles south africa was the Zulu nation before the european invasion. Hence, he is African before he is "south" african. Good fight though, Tsukamoto rules!!!

  • Very nice, thanks for the video.

    Osu
