this is the game that made the games what they are today! First came the real life look of there faces and the movement of the crowd! Live 99 brought the "soul of hoops to life"....Thank you EA for the years but 2k has completely take over this basketball genre

Traz Damji is the man! Actually the whole crew of musicians who's been working on this soundtrack is very talented! Still one of my favourite NBA Live Soundtracks. The other one is '99 and 2000.

Out of all the NBA live tracks, this is my favorite song. I remember I used to have this game for both PS1 and PC. Man I would spend hours playing it. When I hear this music back in the days, it brings me to my own world. How I miss those memories.

All of the songs from Live 98 remind me of "Pick up the Pieces" by the Average White Band.

We need to wake up the kids today and open their eyes and ears to good classic funk. In football, 2k usually had a few decent songs thrown in the mix. EA had the excellent lineup on FIFA. I don't know about the new era...

This is my fav all-time track on any NBA Live game. I own '97, '98 and 2000 on PSX. I remember when me and my friends would spend countless hours playing this classic game back in the Summer of '98. Unfortunately, a few months later, I broke my PSX. However, I've just recently purchased another one at Play-N-Trade and brought this game, Live '97 and 2000, Tekken 3, Crash and several others.

Ive lost my faith in nba live. The NBA 2k series has overtaken the nba live series in my opinion. I thought NBA Live 98 and NBA Live 99 were the two best games of the series. NBA Live 08 and NBA Live 09 have been a complete disappointment in my mind.

In my opinion, there hasn't been a good NBA Live game since Live '98. Since Live '99, EA Sports has been making NBA Live games gimmicky. Live 2000, once you unlocked Michael Jordan, that game was whack. Live '05, was the first Live with All-Star Weekend and once you got through that, the game sucked. Live '06 was when they put the signature moves in the game but the game still sucked. Because of this, I have been buying and playing the NBA 2K series.

Each one I listened to I thought was my Fav track.. then I came to this one and was like OH YEAH! 98 definitely had my fav soundtrack. Right up there with the Tekken 3 Remixes.
