This applies to the US too. The same crackdown issues in the EU are here in the US too. Unfortunately the US media tells the people the same lies they are told by the government.
I am looking forward to voting in the EU elections this June, but I don't know who to vote for.
The EU is so unlike the US in the voting system. It is never clear what each party actually stands for. Sure you can get their views on things such as civil liberties, as is shown by this video, but it is often hard to compare their views - in the US they have their TV debates, we should have something like that here.
I just don't know the ultimate goals of the parties. I want to know before I vote.
