Wow. I love RH, but these guys hit the nail on the head. It shocks me to see this kind of edgy satire on a fox show. I do wonder why they chose a relatively esoteric band like RH to satirize though...
@TheWillimusin Well, at least you didn't say what I thought you were going to say. But I don't think that was a generalization nor do I think it was wrong. Could you name a good generalization?
@butMydesign No no that is a generalization but i didn't mean he was wrong or anything like that it's just the reply "duh" kinda ticked me off. As for a good example of a generalization if that's what you meant... uhm i guess "all rednecks live in trailers" or something ignorant like that.
@TheWillimusin Well, no, actually they do not all live in trailers. If they did indeed all live in trailers to say that they did would not be a generalization, it would just be the truth.
And I'm guessing the reason he said "duh" was because, like me, he thought you were on the same track as futurfry who was just completely clueless.
@butMydesign Wow you didn't understand that i wasn't saying that redneck shit. You asked for an example so i thought of something absurd as i hinted at "or something ignorant like that". So you're really gonna get on high horse that you're right and nothing's gonna change that i'm not up for a stupid debate over a comment that had nothing to do with you in the first place. Stop trolling
@TheWillimusin You are the one who isn't understanding me. You claim "Generalizations are ALWAYS wrong" is itself a generalization, but unless you can prove that a generalization can be correct that is not a generalization but, instead, a fact. Get it?
And I'm not trolling; you weren't thinking what I initially thought you were, so now I'm just finishing what I started no matter how petty it is.
I find in these situations it is best to illustrate these points with examples. All whales are aquatic = fact. All whales are in the ocean = generalization. An obvious one, but still effective.
@TheWillimusin Clearly ON PURPOSE, thus the ALL CAPS LETTERING for the key generalizing word, ALWAYS. The contradiction is, one might say, THE POINT of that comment.
@TheWillimusin No . . . you missed MY twist. Note the word "always" is all caps. That was meant to help the more literal-type readers who don't know me and/or prone to miss satirical missives. I do apologize for the "duh" comment. I really didn't mean it as harsh as it reads. I was smiling while writing; thinking my dismissive comment would actually magnify the fact you had wrote exactly, what I thought was, obvious in my intent. I have enjoyed your and butMydesign's banter - funny!
I've been taping "Red Eye" since they started (airs at 2 A.M.) and never fails to amuse (and occasionally educate)! If you don't watch it then you are a homophobic Nazi that clubs baby seals.
@futurfry I see why you wouldn't need to watch Fox News then. You're doing a damn good job of making shit up and generalizing your own credibility away.
Get over yourselves libs and lighten up! This is just for fun and has nothing to do with news.
@Rstars11 Im generalizing? people who dont watch fox are nazi baby seal killers is what you said, but im generalizing? im sorry you dont think im credible anymore, but i, a "lib" am definitely not the only one who KNOWN fox makes shot up. you know actually, they did TWO halftime report reviews of the king of limbs on live tv. same reporters. same stupid jokes. And do you think fox would repetitively make FUN of a known conservative band? you and i both know the answer to that.
@futurfry Well then, allow me to be more specific. Your use of English grammar is juvenile; your prose reads like random sputtered wet brain farts. Your understanding of satire is infantile; the joke is directed towards the over-zealous Radiohead FAN - NOT the band. By the way . . . you forgot the "homophobic" part of my "generalization"; proving, once again, you simply "don't get it" and probably never will. At least you've made the thread more interesting!
@Rstars11 way to point out my use of grammar on the youtube comments section, Im surprised you freaks still do that to try to add a point to your argument. oh wait also i accidentally copy/pasted half of my comment into the other ("definitely not the only one who KNOWN fox makes shot up"), thats honestly why, i cant even read it. but anyways, you should probably stop carrying on with this "thread" (this isnt 4chan).
Haha, wow.

Him saying that generalizations are always wrong is a generalization so he contradicted himself. I just found it amusing
