I'm not saying they're necessarily bad, there's been a few reporting they have no problems running on some of them, mostly the higher end models. Though other people with those exact same duo cpu's that run well, noted that they have poor frame rates. So, as of the beta it was really a coin toss whether or not you'd get good frame rates with a duo processor. There was talk of further game optimization being implemented in the retail release of the game.

Those aren't max settings, DX11 and such would require Vista/7 to run.

Yes, I know this. Also, the developer told us via twitter that the "high" textures wouldn't be much better, just a bit. With that said and any optimizations they have in store for the release, he should be alright running it maxed out. Perhaps without AA & AF but should be able to run it maxed out.

i have the exact same rig :) q6600 @ 3.6 and a HIS 4850 512 mb.. Nice, if urs can do it, then so can mine..i havent got the beta yet tho

wow, your rig handles this game pretty nice with those settings, this video gives me hope to run this game at 1920x1080 atleast medium-high with Phenom 920 x4, HD 4770 (oc 850/1000) 4gigs ddr2 and windows 7... I quitted MW2 because of the multiplayer lag and completely horrible perfomance even at the lowest settings...

@Morrimoo maybe the phenom 920 performs about the same as the Q6600 so you should be fine there, i'd just worry about your 4770 driving it at 1920x1080, you should be fine at medium settings.

@LiquidFriction, Hey I just tried out MW2 with my new Windows 7 and guess what, it runs 50-60 fps everything maxed out! It is just Incredible how much better the windows 7 is for gaming than my old XP !

Hey i have radeon 4850(512), 3GB-ram, 3GHz, E8400....... if i play on these settings at 1680x1050 i get only 20-40 fps!!! But all the time 30!!! Do you think it is wondows fault??? I have windows vista ultimate 32

but i will get windows 7

Hi LiquidFriction, I cant play this beta without internet lag.. I don't know what it is, but I've seen lots of people with the same problem.. For example: I run up the stairs, then about 5 seconds later I'm downstairs again.. It's like it teleports me back in time every 5-10 second.. Do you know what might be causing this problem?

I've noticed I experience the same lag every now and then (as does everyone). Some servers do it, others don't. It's not an issue on your side but the servers, unless it's happening the entire time you're playing. If it's happening the entire time you're playing, run a virus and malware scan, you could have a bug on your system pulling bandwidth from you.

dual core folks < coz this game is just unoptimalized.... my athlon x2 3600+ (2.7 x2) can run better games with better gfx smoother than here... so u just have ``best on market from shop`` comp. and playing ``mid-end`` games.... u can run everygame on max but other comps should play it on full 60 fps at max settings but its just unoptimalized omg..... u r full of shit, not sure why people keep saying it needs better graphics < umm coz gfx is same as in bf : bc ? u pc fanboy.......

@SiwyStaryMurzyn Smoother than here? I'm recording video. Any lag is caused by that (what little hickup there is every now and then). I get 50-60 FPS while not record, I maintained 30FPS while recording this video.

oy guys, im sorta having a problem with my beta, like i start playing and these distorted lines appear on the screen and somhow they originate in the crosshairs, and i dont know wats rong, all my settings are on low, and my v sync is off, i have an xp, GPU:Nvidia 8600GT, 2 gb ram, quad core, SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!

yup, runs fine for me too. same specs except for cpu - e8200 @ 3.5GHz. max settkings too but in 1440x900.

Omg, you go out of you cover to aim at the tracker and lock on to it ? Why not lock on to it from behind the wall, fire into the air or around the corner and let the rocket find its way itself ? Thats the whole point of the tracer. To be able to fire when in cover.
