i lived in bend for about two years and i miss it so much. i have lived in many different places and bend has got to be my favorite. i lived right off of portland ave. on second street and miss that house more than i can explain.

I lived in Bend for 11+ years. Miss it. Live in Washington state now due to work. I even had a store downtown on Wall street in the old penny galeria. Wish Bend never did grow up like it did. Sad. :-(

I moved here from Portland 10 years ago.

This is the nicest place to live there is.

The only place that comes close is Sedona, AZ... but it's waaaaaaay to far from the beach.

Bend is fun, friendly, and full of all sorts of activities from skiing/boarding, rock climbing, fishing, boating, and with 300 days of sunshine per year... ya can't beat it!

I can do that here in California! all in the same day even more. I can do all the activities that you can, I surf when i want, i go to amusement parks, camp, use dirt bikes, i can pretty much do everything. Can you go surfing, snowboarding, and then use quads all in one day? We also have way hotter chicks! OC/L.A from all around the world!

Ive spent a lot of time in California, I recently moved to downtown Portland Oregon and it's way more unique than any place I have ever been to in California. They don't do boring strip malls here, and everyone doesn't look the same. Plus the summers in Portland are way way hotter than in San Fran where it's ALWAYS overcast and gloomy.

This is what I plan for next summer: 1. Pageant of the Masters and Sawdust Festival, Laguna Beach 2. Santa Monica Pier(just love it) 3. The OC South Coast Plaza 4. Ronald Reagan Presidential Library 5. Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 6. San Diego Zoo/Balboa Park 7. Surf in San Clemente 8. See the swallows return to San Juan Capistrano(maybe) 9. I want to buy a star map in Beverly Hills(never done this) 10. Hollywood Walk of Fame(been wanting to) That's what I plan for next summer. YOU?

I lived in Bend for 16 years and it's a great city, but when I went back to visit a couple months ago I was surprised to find out how rude a lot of the people have gotten, even servers at restaurants are assholes.

Agreed, I was just there for a 3 day vacation and found most of the people I met pretty friendly. The main difference between it and my current city (Corvallis) is it's a much faster paced place and I like that.
