@PFXProductions cute couple? I'm pretty sure using the words abusive and possessive to describe their relationship do not translate to people thinking they would make a "cute but dysfunctional" couple.
lol, the actor for viserys is perfect...too bad he's not a long term character. Cracks me up when he frantically comes down the stairs....so picture perfect of his character.
When you read the books you can't help but hating Viserys, but here it seems that they put an special emphasis on how hard his life has been, etc. It's maybe a good thing though : in ASoIaF there is few real bad guys, no less entirely good characters, it's always shades of grey...
Making us feel friendly towards the "bad guys" will be more difficult in a TV show than in a book, so it's good they start right at the beginning with Viserys! (And also with showing Robert in his worse light...)
@MsHydna Possibly. Also, maybe to add drama and some shock by including his death scene. Personally I think his character is pretty important. Including him helps define Dany's transformation into a stronger woman, ya know? Seeing her dominated by him in the beginning to her not needing him at all.
@MsHydna As the story unfolds, it is difficult to say who is a minor character and who is not. Mr. Martin has proved that those who we think are important could end up dead on the next page. While those who we didn't think meant anything, could be riding a dragon in a book or so. It would also be poor advertising to give away any spoilers by saying "OH, so and so goes away, so he's minor...."
@maaneblomme completely agree. only thing against the guy is either its COMPLETE ridiculous coincidence that he has two middle names beginning with R just like the last amazing fantasy author (..tolkien) or he totally did that to get some legitimacy points haha
@MsHydna Who knows, but Harry Lloyd has made him such a hot little brat, I wanna spank him! They can keep him around the entire series for all I care. I will be sad to see him go.

so you are pretty much underrate the character.
