my friend is having the same problems with his titanium finish, but the ver.ka is a good kit. try giving it an allowance when cutting then cut the remaining part of the tree with a hobby knife.
I got the Unicorn Gundam titanium finish, and went to the model store around town and picked up a marker that looked exactly like the finish. so it eventually looked great after the touch ups!
on my sinanju titanium the marks from the trees arent all that noticable.
on my unicorn titanium its a whole different story... black marks EVERYWHERE.... thats the only complaint i have about that kit, they didnt really think that through very well =/ i dont get why they used a back/clear/whatever plasitc for the base and then painted that... they could have done that differently so that we dont have ugly marks on the model...
I would definitely do this if I like hand painting. Ironically, I have almost all the things to do so (Shy of clear paints of any kind), but I actually dislike hand painting, I've discovered. Might try this whenever I get an air gun, though.
