Dont touch you laser. It load but doesn't run. You disk is faulty.
1 - before burning you iso, always use FSTFIX to correct the size and for good karma. open a command line box (cmd in run command) and type "fstfix yougame.iso f".
2 - NEVER EVER BURN WITH NERO. use clonecd instead.
3 - In clonecd, the number of sectors should be 712880. Then burn in lowest speed you writer can handle.
4 - Even then, you can get DRE so be patient, Gamecube backuping is not for the faint of heart anyway :p
@pikachu5501 How much OHMs did you adjust in the laser? Mine was 500 OHMs on stock, and i was checking from that amount to 20 OHMs less (480, 460, 440, 420, 400, 380) and it still can't read my disc. I used a properly burned good and correct iso of "Mat hoffmans pro bmx 2" on a verbatim dvd-r, and burned it with 2x speed. Dunno what's the problem. The xeno gc ver. 2 of mine was soldered correctly, so I don't know what's wrong. Any tip ?
What are you using to backup from disc to your pc? You MUST backup using the gamecube/broadband adapter... you also MUST use gamecube game resizer if you are going to use the larger dvd discs so that the file size is correct... Honestly if you googled you would've known and not had to waste youtubes bandwidth with your easily solvable problems
^^ Buy a DVD RECORDER firm NEC !! is great recorder for gamecube.. i had sony recorder and have this same problem.. i change recorder to NEC and 100% working on my VERMATIM DVD-r :D

A laser tweak is required. check your laser resistor und go down until it reads the disc or reach 180 ohm
