i still play the old school LOTR game on my PS2 and wanted a similar experience on my 360 (better graphics, etc.) but this game is complete shit, and i mean even the old games for PS2 are better.

i rented it yesterday, and it's not that shitty. well of course its repetetive, but the large scale battles and the Trolls/Ents can ultimately kill this boredom, how can it not be fun to grapple enemies and manhandle them around the battlefield like small childs? (sorry for my english, i am from Greece)

If I wanted to reenact scenes from LotR I'd play the origional games, this is basically Battlefront 2 in LotR's format which I am perfectly OK with. I respect your opinion but I enjoy the game for it's real wartime effects like I enjoyed with Battlefront.

But to be honest I had no idea what to expect. And to be honest more, I haven't actually played it. My computer isn't good enough for it. I've "played" it but everything is laggy and screwed up shaders and such. From what I could see it wasn't very fun but maybe I just need to experience it better?

hey man when i went up to gamestop i bought this game with my extra money and i think its a good game and its very fun but the problem for me is the EA server is always down so its hard to play online. but also helms deep was a much better mission then the one you displayed here. so i think that some locations are better then others and it is real far off from the movie.

I kinda figured that they should at least have the button combinations for Boss Battles if you're playing a hero like in the Force Unleashed, that would have decreased the dull 'hack and slash' factor.

you're right.... When you play it for a while it's getting BORING!, than it's more a "hack and slash"-game. But lucky after all, there's a mutiplayer :P.

I'm hoping that Star Wars Battlefront III (3), will come out very fast! I'll buy it the moment it's released. (LOTRC = 6.5/10)

a thaught that some of the comments were poor. i mean if the mines of moria level was like the film, then as soon as you were to die, thats the end of a hero, there would be about 3 levels in which you can be normal guys and it would suck. besides the good campaign aint even the best bit, try the rise of sauron for pure fun in a game. i mean the balrog owning hobbits, ye unrealistic but hilarious and fun!

the bridge is destroyed, the bridge that you see isnt the bridge that gandalf breaks, but when your playing in the actual level you can look out of the map and see the broken bridge. i dont know where the broken stairs are though where legolas has to jump.

Well the answer is easy conquest is like a battllefront type game and not like LOTR ROTK if you want to play some scenematic things then you should play that game. This game is just experiencing the big battles and not about the movies accually. There are glitches but thats what the game makes it a bit hard. I play this game every day and i like the way it is

Only reason the archers take longer to kill, is because you were killing them from long range :p Arrow was loosing it's power.
