@yunwi1 Agreed, Meg can keep ok time but often relies on jack to set the tempo and initiate time changes or changes in general. A REAL drummer does not need such assistance. Its a shame drummers like Donati and Mayer are "too much" for the mainstream.

@misan69goon Meg did rely on Jack to set the tempo, but that was what made the white stripes so good. You always had that feeling that the guitar was driving the song and the drums just rolled on; like the music was barely together in a raw way. It worked beautifully, especially live. Listen to some of the Upholserers. They were ok but with Meg the 2 piece sound is 100x better even though technically she is 100x worse. In the raconteurs she would suck, but PK is perfect. Both good but different.

I say they are both great guitarists. Jack White plays faster, while John Mayer is comfortable in a more blues-y type of music. Don't judge so quickly. I've studied both musicians along with many others.

Okay cee-lo green the vocalist half of gnarls barkley is arapper, he was a rapper when he debued in the goddie mob, on his first two solo cd's (cee-lo green and his perfect imperfections, and cee-lo green is the soul machine) He even rapped a lil on both st. elsewhere and the odd couple so he is arapper just an extremely soulful and talented rapper...Now that that's out of the way the raconteurs are fucking awesome Jack white is brilliant i want to see them live so bad!
