I have a friend who's parachute malfunctioned, and his reserve as well. What did he do? Ditched the pack, assumed the arc position flew towards a hillside and when he hit, he rolled. I met him a year after this occurred. He survived. Injuries? Broken right leg, fractured left shoulder blade ( both from the initial roll) and internal bleeding. He hopped to the nearest street, called 911, and got help.
