after 4 years of becoming natural i realized that i do need brushes to tame my curly hair so it seems that she doesnt know that brushes do tame hair.i use a denman d31 brush and i need this to help clump my curls[my sides were always puffy no matter what products i use before using a brush...] ,take away puffy hair and reduce frizz.brush lets me use less product as well.
Another great solution is serum, such as ours. It reduces frizz by absorbing into the hair follicle, making each strand stronger and softer from the inside out.
@lyn0002 actually... in professional speech classes, repeating choice words or phrases helps give your point or as i like to think of it, a verbally neon glowing arrow. lol. or she might be doing it out of a habit. very much like the stereotype with valley girls with the word 'like'. lol
hey everyone watch my "how to get rid of frizzy hair forver" which is a lot better then this video, it also controls it in fog, rain, sweat, just watch it:)
Im a mixed girl, mexican and black and my hair is frizzy no matter what it seems...I didnt have this prroblem until after I had kids...lol what tip you have for mixed girls with mixed textured hair....
i wish there was a way to get rid of frizz without using all that chemical spray crap that in the end only makes your hair worse. its like a freakin bad perm
I've got long hair too and it's frizzy. (Curly or curlier hair tends to be more frizzy than straight hair just in case you didn't know.) I'm still trying to figure it out. Here are a few things I have found to help, and I don't use a straightener:
1. Make sure your hair is healthy, which includes it being moisturized enough. This is something you want to do no matter what type of hair or style you have anyway. Make sure it's not dry 'cause that'll make it frizzy. Keeping your hair healthy is a subject all in itself so I won't go into it.
2. When it's wet pat or squeeze it dry with a towel. Don't rub it.
3. Use a wide-toothed comb when it's wet. This and #2 at the very least protect against damage.
God this fucking shit keeps rejecting my comments....
4. Don't comb or brush your hair when it's dry. That's right, leave it alone! Comb it when it's wet and that's it. If you have to fix it when it's dry, use your fingers. The lady even mentions this or something along these lines in the video.
5. There are various products you can use. Just like keeping your hair healthy, this is a subject all in itself, so I won't go into it here. You at least want to make sure your hair is as healthy as can be 'cause maybe then you won't need so much product or maybe not any product at all.
That's all I've got for now. Try it and see if it helps. Like I said before, I'm still working on my own hair, and mine's probably frizzier than yours.
The next time you go to get your hair cut, ask the stylist how healthy your hair is. If you ask how to reduce the frizz they might just offer you products to put in there, like shampoos, gels, sprays, etc. They'll probably offer you products no matter what (as they are probably told to push sales and they probably get a cut from them) but you at least want to make sure your hair is healthy first. Then you might not need so much product -- or maybe even none at all.
ya :) i do the same thing haha. cause i have really frizzy but straight hair. so then its extra straight with no frizz lol. and its cause the straightener closes the cuticles to make ur hair less frizzy and shiny :)
I just found out today that the stylist who does my hair color knows *nothing* about frizzy/curly hair. She told me to tame it down by blow drying with a diffuser.... omg! Before it was more than half dry it was poofing up like crazy. I now have it in 2 braids, hopefully by tomorrow it will have calmed down. o_0 (She is good at color, though!)
Who cares how many times she said it. I know that it helped me so thank goodness for her

are them products only for "colored" people? NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE, NO HATES just a simple question :)
autumnlynn21 7 months ago
@autumnlynn21 no, there is no such thing as products only one ethnicity. It all depends on your hair texture, and what works for you.
