I guess mine is harsh to. But I have to say that I don´t use the pull function that much. I´m totally satisfied with the sound without the pull function;)
Yes, I liked the sound from the MI Crunch Box with not tooo... much gain. I found that with too much gain, you get a really distorted tone, like a "broke up" tone. Not something I would use when playing a melody. It´s more classicrock rythm. But with the gain toned down a bit, it sings quite well:)
Hi AFrimel. Yes it´s a Gibson nighthawk. The sound didn´t come out as I expected. The MI Crunch Box sounds better I think with a Blues Junior than my Fender Twin. I love the Nighthawk, the tone is great, it doesn´t weigh much. If you see one, try it;)
The Nighthawk is the best guitar ever.
I own one like yours, and I like very much the MI crunchbox (at moment I' haven't one)
BTW: how does it sound your bridge pick up pulled up (single coil)? Mine is a harsh and it's the unique minus I found on this wonderful guitar.

Sounds really, really good. I'm guessing you had the gain down low?

Sounds great. I want that pedal. it sounds awesome and the guitar's natural sound really shines through. BTW, nice Nighthawk.

Nice job man. Tone is cool. Really dig the guitar. Is that a Nighthawk? I've always found them to be interesting, but never played one.
