  • these 70s influenced bands are great. graveyard, witchcraft, black mountain, they are really making people pay attention to some great bands who never got their due the first time like pentagram/saint vitus. there is a fantastic doc called such hounds such hawks about this style of music-sleep, kyuss, pentagram, wino (and various bands he;'s been in) just awesome stuff.

  • You people realize the kid hasn't been fifteen for years, right? Was he frozen in carbonite and I just wasn't made aware?

  • that little groove on the keys has been stuck in my head for days!! and I love it!!

  • aw this was uploaded on my birthdayc;

  • Wow.

Out in the open desert, armed with a mellotron, Hammond and some Moog synths, making this kind of music. That's living man. That's living.

  • People, you need to know it can take years before you truly appreciate Black Mountain. They grow over time, like a mighty tree. They are the best rock band of the last 10 years.

    Fuzz Cosmos Revelation Folk Reverberation.

  • First heard this on a free cd given away with a music mag. Its a fucking awesome tune, i've been playing all through this winter period and it suits the snowy landscape

  • A great song! I need to thank Brian Molko for introducing this song in his XFM Residency takeover radio show. He really has a good taste in music!

  • Mee too!

I can't stop listen to this since I've heard it in his show!

  • I could write the same thing xD Shame that Brian has had his show only for one month!

  • I must enjoy this so much as I am a longtime Doors fan, I hear the influences, and yet I hear other influences from the stoner rock scene...

  • Well they have a 60's vibe going on, but they don't really sound all THAT much like the doors. they have the 60s vibe down, and its a very catchy song, i love it. but it doesn't remind me of the doors.

the doors had a sound like no other. and lots of bands TRIED to recreate it, this band isn't trying to. they have their own flow.

  • Yeahhhhh something frickin awesome from my hometown

  • amazing! this shit is awsome!

  • Satanic song and music

  • This is my new song of the moment. RESPECT!

  • This stuff rocks, Fantastic!

  • Black Mountain lo máximo !!!

    saludos desde Lima Perú.

  • remember the doors

  • Beautiful music, truly truly beautiful. Thank you BM

  • LOVE IT

  • Sound like a Soul dancing...

    nice nice nice

  • They remind me of Pink Floyd and Jefferson Airplane

  • Floyd @ Pompeii! (2)

  • Floyd @ Pompeii!

  • never really got into stoner rock or anything but kyuss is fucking awesome

  • this song reminds me of No Quarter by Led Zeppelin

  • Bow down to Black Mountain.

  • Hypnotic aesthetics, lounging by a floating flower on a bed of rice filled nights.

  • Your opinion is wrong.

  • an opinion cannot be wrong btw

  • It's my opinion that an opinion can be wrong.

  • shit what do i say to that? ohhhh you win this one

  • Great groove. Stoner rock at its finest

  • were those geese just before the shake-the-camera-at-lights effect at 1.21? how vivid!

  • This song is rediculously kick ass. I can't stop listening.

  • Stoner music.. right on... can you say The Doors....great video though

  • lol, well I've never been a stoner and i love this. ((and i'm a doors fan too))

  • finally, some neo/retro respectable music out there...

  • Stoner rock at its finest.

  • THe video overhadows the song with too many edits. Goddam too much. Too much false symbolism. This vid director is trying to make a name for his sorry self at the expense of the mighty Black M.

  • the video is actually better IMHO

  • The vid fits perfectly with the music. Great psychedelic vibes..

  • This song is addictive.

    Please use in moderation

    or not.

  • anyone know the movie they used? i know i have seen it but a long time ago.

  • The spooky synthline is just fantastic!

  • most excellent!

  • Wow, Genius!!

  • The music and video is just like watching "the old grey whistletest" back in the seventies,

I am glad that I managed to catch them at the Greenman festival in August. They were amazing!

  • Killer. Best thing in years.

  • God I love this song so much

  • Best release of 2008. It's just so psychedelic and original. Awesome synths, riffs, vocals and keyboards.

  • reminds me of when i went camping. the area looked just like the video.

  • makes me wanna go out in the city at night and lurk in factories

  • i'm tiznight with the keyboardist of black mountain

  • i wish i was...hes the best!

  • wasn't digging this song so i smoked a bowl. now i get it.

  • very cool - makes me wanna run through doors

  • Dude! About 3:40 started to freak me out! I like it. Has my approval.

  • Just discover this video this morning... afternoon, evening ? (morning is when i wake up, lol)...

Very interesting and the song is good !

Love the dark side with beautiful sound ! Tks !

  • Very Interesting!

  • This song just makes me wana AAAAAAAAAAGHGGHGHG OH YEAH!!!!!!!...

yea you know what i mean..

  • awesome song

  • judging from all these negative comments, i guess todays youth don't like old bands like Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Hawkins, The Doors and other 60/70's experimental bands who tried to make something different

Too bad Black Mountain didn't exist in that time, where people apreciated music like this, but hey hating children, listen to your music and let the rest of us enjoy this awesome band

  • Im 14 and I like this song and I like and have heard all the bands you mentioned except for Hawkins, so thats not totally true. but there are too many kids who like bad music.

  • I'm sure he meant to say" hawkwind" Great band check em out!

  • indeed

have not heard any screaming j Hawkins in a while this song by Black Mountain is the collest thing i hae heard in a long time nice how they give the feel of older groups Velvet underground, Sugarcubes ...) while still sounding totally original and the smooth to raw transitions are flawless which is harder to pull off than you would think without sounding forced 5/5 for sure

  • **coolest**

  • if anyone would like to listen to one of the greatest bands out of as of now, listen to "the parlor mob". if you liked this, you will start orgasm'ing when you listen to them.

  • I think you make a broad assumption about"today's youth." Remember that those are the same hating children that bring you Black Mountain, The Black Keys, Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes and innumerable indie bands, new formats and virtually everything you see on YouTube. Yes-the Good and the Bad. But, I is extremely trendy to complain. Oh its so much more fun to fan people's discontent than to compliment or even constructively criticize. And here I go with the bitching....

  • i agree and im 15 lol people my age are morons, they give our generation a bad name

  • @roguenoobkiller

So true dude. Our generation is fairly closed-minded, especially when it comes to music.

  • @roguenoobkiller Totally 15 also .

  • @roguenoobkiller Generation are exactly what they seem, going further in time things drown more and more in the shit. We are not of these generations. Many people from the 50s-80s died young right? We are their reincarnations... that explains all. Why would we be so anachronistic and different, otherwise?

  • @roguenoobkiller Just keep listening to music you like. Avoid being a clone and its all good. 15!?! Fcking cool!

  • @tryingharder im 18 now, and i have a broader taste in music, im moving from ohio to cali in a few weeks to start djing, and i plan on integrating alot of the synth lines from bands like this

  • @roguenoobkiller 75...

  • There should be a scene where Josh drinks a pint in 6 seconds just like in the 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' vid. Great song, ok vid.

  • These guys are my greatest musical discovery this year. Go out and buy the albums. Fantastically groovin' ! I dig this shit.

  • Psychedelic rock revivalists at their best in my opinion. They purposefully make simple music. If people don't like it, there's more talented bands out there to listen to. No one's being forced to listen to this.

  • Haha you hit the nail on the head. The Doors came to mind instantly.

  • Catchy, but the vocals are too high in the mix - it kind of kills the song.

  • I don't understand why this video is getting such bullshit comments from people. This song is different, its a great feeling track. I dig it.

  • wow that wuz TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!

  • fantastic

  • wucan aint nuthin to fuck wit

  • Pretty cool! This video reminds me alot of Pink Floyd - Live at Pompei.

  • get musical education asap.

  • These guys ain no competition to Trend Reversal's Heartbreaker. They whale upon em

  • nice

  • Awsome video, awsome music = awsome band

  • Woah... I certainly have listened to better stuff, though the psychedelic sound is awesome. The rythm is quite good... sounds somewhat "ritual".

You guys sound like God is LSD but much lighter.

The concept is good, the video itself is completely senseless (except for you, who made it, obviously personal).

The synth gives a haunting feel, and the guitar effect is cool.

What I don't like at all is the vocalist. Sounds too lazy.

Still, it'd be interesting to listen to the whole album ;)

  • I think it's great! Very pleasing and Pink-Floyd-y but new at the same time. I enjoyed the long instrumental break in the middle with plenty of weird keyboard sounds, I enjoyed the mix of old film footage and the "scratched film effect" that I haven't seen for a good few years, and I always like it when a band drives a ton of their equipment into the desert/forest/etc. and sets it up there... again I'm thinking 'Live at Pompeii' I suppose... Good luck Black Mountain :-]

  • kewl song it's not really my thing but it was worth 5 stars none the less!

  • You deleted my post after you responded to my first post and now its not up. You retard.

Most bands ar not creative on drugs there just out of it. those that do, or did most likely had writers, but ill tell you a little secreat. 99& of sucesfull bands dont do drugs at least while they wright music. Why would you if a recording studio casts a ton of money not to mention all the people that are invaled all they way down to the cover art.Get real.

  • I am sorry, but NO, this will never be a hit.

  • its a great song and i dont care if you dont like it you can go suck a bag of dicks

  • not so much my thing

  • grab my dick. i don't give a shit

  • Try my original songs. Death, girls, etc. I am begging. I'm not above that. Just carve me a smile. Alyosha Het

  • watching this video makes doo doo seem like a tasty treat.

  • purevolume . com/youmeandthetranscript

  • Nice vid!

  • 54 second intro = too long.

  • Looks like Tucson... where I live

  • Heh, I used to live there.

  • Dude, i've been planning to slaughter my whole family for a while, and have been trying to figure out what to have on my ipod during the shooting spree. Thank you guys. TYSVM

  • not bad

  • You guys are very seventies, a bunch of band influences I can hear, Good stuff!

  • an obvious one, although not very seventies, is jefferson airplane, with the grace slick type singer

  • Yea reminded me of White Rabbit, but some of their other songs sound like other influences, theyre also pretty good.

  • Drugs didnt work in the sixties, didnt change a goddam thing to our Government. And Im sick of all this re-hashed bullshit. If your true musicians do something creative. Use your brain..

  • There isn't a lack of creativity if you use drugs. Most of the bands that everyone listens to wrote amazing songs while under the influence of drugs. So, it has nothing to do with lack of creativity. And it is 'If you're true musicians' not 'If your...'

  • Very nice! You guys can play. I would go to hear you jam. Peace GR

  • Awesome, as expected because the whole Black Mountain Army is amazing.

  • nice..

  • Great great band.
