Yes, it is the same family. but this "ntses qav" have lots of teeth about 1 inch long and as sharp as nail, and it come at you like a bulldog if it is catch. Tus no yog tus "ntses qav" of south america. It can grow to around 40 lbs (at least that's the heaviest i'll seen - caught on the Mana River in French Guiana. Hmoob muab ua ntses nqaub noj qab heev.
C' est le poisson le plus fin que j' ai jamais mangé. Un grand souvenir de Guyane.

where i live in trinidad we got the malabricus in the wild there cool but not as cool as these airmara bigger

@shngryder I work in the church. I was sent to French Guiana to help the Hmong church there. My wife help me and also teach a little English as well.
