i absolutely love this :D but its kinda hard to hear the melody all the time. someone whose never heard this before might have a hard time distinguishing the melody.

The 6th horn part doesn't play the same melody(d-a-h-fis-g-d-g-a).

Sometims Another part performs this melody.

So,I think the bass part wouldn't be boring.

I don't think any music part of anything can be boring, It's about how much of a tone/and a musical harmonic sound/ background. Even though It's repeatitive, the melody wouldn't sound that great without the great harmonic sound. It's all about how much you give. The more you give, the more you get, the more you get the more you give.
