I remember a book i had when i was little about Kaguya but it was a little different than that story it said that mr.bamboo found her in a stalk of bamboo after praying to the gods for a child and he wasn't her grandfather but her father and he tried to get her to marry and she would send the men on impossible quests and yes she was from the moon but i never heard why she came from there until now i just thought it was because mr.bamboo prayed to the gods :P
