The oversteer in this game is a complete joke, it makes you feel totally disconnected from the car, you couldn't;t even been able to tell if you are driving a porsche. In GT5 you know right away you're driving a Porsche from the way the heavy rear end always wants to slide out.

@NUKLEUSBENZ sadly not, I feel the best way is to avoid groups. Over take them on straights and never on corners. If you feel you're going to get hit then slow down so if you do swerve of the track the impact into any walls or vehicles wont be so big.

@yyyy2999 GT5 have a couple things Shift 2 doesn't. overall, even for a sim racer, i would choose shift 2. and i played it for 2 days, and all the GT games. i really hope they make a Shift 3.. and GT6 get's alot of improvements!!!

I find that when I race from the new helmet cam, I tend to drift too far from the corner. I think part of my problem may be the default settings for the sensativity and dead zone. What you you have your steering sensativity and dead zones set at?

Also need for shift 2 unleashed was marketed as one of the most sim like racers when it is nowhere near sims in terms of realism. All shift 2 unleashed is added features on top of shift 1 to make the gameplay slower as well as harder to drive the vehicle and with the new helmet cam. No wonder they said shift 1 was not that bad.

Also they said they were cometing against the likes of forza 3 and gt5 but in reality it is nowhere near in terms of realism as it has broken ai type feel like shift 1.

one thing i notice in alot of racing games,including gt5, is that the car shifts right before the hand goes down. not sayin that really matters, but if the timing was a bit more on with that, it'd be a bit better

@kalipso33 : wrong. This guy has already shown videos of him using the wheel with auto. I'm sorry but anyone who is used to using manual in racing game never goes back to an auto. The shifts also occur exactly at the same revs which is 4 dots below the redline, in games the auto box never revs to redline. Apology accepted :)

Look at the first few minutes hes shifting to early. If he was in a drag race he would lose by a second or 2. By short shifting he is losing out on picking up on the next gear. He also doesn't rev it enough as he seems to rev it to 90% at best of times then change gear. This loses momentum. At the start he is at 66%. Why does he seem to go past a few cars on straights then.

If he played gt5 test, playing like this he would be around 10-20 seconds off the pace with same car.

Nissangtr786: what the hell are you on about? He's hitting the rev limiter in about every gear, he should shift sooner, not later. And Shift 2 features an adaptive AI, they will match your performance after a few races.

The Ai looks easy. I take this is the hardest difficulty. You need to drive more aggressively through the corners. If you took a racing line you should easily win by 5 seconds. You seem to be driving at 60% of the cars capability. Also I take it you are playing manual as you seem to short shift a lot.
