I think I can admit that nomar is slowing down a bit, but its because of his injuries if sorta slowed him down, now hes back to normal speed. Just age slows you down, not much more then that.
Yes! not first ballot, but within his first 5 years. Come on, someone with a unique name like Nomar is bound to be in the Hall. He was perhaps the greatest hitter ever at his peak. He's starting to slow down, though. It's sad to watch such an amazing ballplayer slow down. He just needs his confidence back then he'll be the ballplayer he was before.
Anyone who says Nomar "used to be good" is obviously not informed and an idiot. He's still a great hitter, and his statistical numbers at his peak (being the most offensively potent hitter between Derek Jeter, A-rod and Tejada during that power ss era for starters), not to mention his consecutive batting titles, rare for a rh hitter, ranks Nomar as one of the best hitters the game has seen.
i am a diehard dodger fan but it kind of bothers me that everyone loves nomar just beacause he used to be good. hes a nice guy and all but lets face it he is old and cant play for shit
It was fun to watch him play at college. I saw him at U of Md. GT pretty much cleaned up against U of Md everytime they played. Jay Payton and Jason Veritek on the same team too.
okay guys.. reading a bit too much into what redbirds said.. obviously no one is going to make a legitimate argument that nomar is, literally, the best player ever.. so take it for what it is.. he's the man
