:( and that's still an issue until now? wow... i wonder if japan will suffer the same fate after their nuclear plants were damaged during the post earthquake tsunami... god bless them..
Fukushima's levels of radiation were reassessed and raised to seven, the same scale as Chernobyl, Yoshiki03. I am saddened to know that the region in Russia is still uninhabitable. I am very upset that we may see similar issues regarding the people of this region and nuclear fallout zone within the entire country of Japan. Our hearts go out to you, Japan.
@MsVitoU The INES scale has little to do with levels of radition, but more with how many of the safety barriers were breached. Level 7 means "major release of radioactive material with widespread health and environmental effects requiring implementation of planned and extended countermeasures". If a core would melt, meet ground water, cause a major explosion and render all of Europe or Japan uninhabitable, it would still be a level 7. Chernobyl was far worse than Fukushima.
Ireland's really doing a great thing here

@veryfarfromhome not quite, the scale of the Chernobyl disaster was many times beyond that of Fukushima.
