Also connectify lite is a bigger download so I'm assuming it has more features and is more capable than virtual router. But as i have yet to install either one (yet) we will see.

@sexytony264 Instead of leaving the network open, put a WPA password on it.

@sexytony264 Well, Like esd sniper said you tell it to be wpa, wpa2, or wep instead of open. WPA-2 is the most secure although what you are able to set it to depends on your os, so on and so on. But from my understanding, you kind of want to leave it open, as it may not work correctly or at all if this is changed. Not entirely sure on that, feel free to correct me anyone who knows if what i said is correct or not.

When attempting to bridge the two network connections, I get this message: "To create a Network Bridge, you must select at least two LAN or High-Speed Internet connections that are not being used by Internet Connection Sharing."

@oscarspence11 It means you didn't hold down CTRL (Control key) when selecting both the WiFi network and your Ethernet cable connection (Local area connection) when trying to bridge it.

@kobir80 I'm not exactly sure. I've thought about it.... to use the laptop almost as a "relay" or "repeater". For instance... if your Smartphone doesn't have a good enough antenna to get WiFi but your laptop does. But it would require you to bridge some kind of connection.... you can't really bridge a wireless connection with a wireless connection. I'd have to research it.

@Sean134437 Dell Latitude D531 (BIOS Revision A10) (I changed BIOS from what my school had it set, it underclocked the CPU at 800Mhz, the video was made before I changed BIOS).

The laptop is a school laptop since I am enrolled in a charter school. (I do most all my school work online.)
